We live in central New Jersey in a victorian and have radiators. They are the best!!! They heat the house up super fast and perfect for throwing all the kids snow gear on after a snow storm. Love them sooo much!

I live in the US in an apartment that's over 100 years old, and there's radiators in every room and because of how old they are they're very ornamental so its like built in decoration. I have no control over the heat, its powered by a temperature activated boiler in the basement that serves the entire building. They can be nice but they also really dry out the air and sometimes run too hot. So it can be 15f outside and I'll still have windows cracked to cool off the inside. To fix the dry air you can try to put pans of water on top of the radiators to get some moisture to evaporate into the air but it only helps so much.

I live in Canada and we have radiators! We rebuilt our home, but kept some of the old radiators from the old home (built in the 40s) and repainted them and installed a few around the house in addition to baseboard heaters. They just look so beautiful and classic ❤

Seeing you active again fills my heart with joy! At the same time it feels a bit strange in a good way haha. It was so long ago and I all grown up now, been though relationships, different jobs, gone though ups and downs in life, so much have changed. ASMR felt like wild west back then, like early internet, so many creators tried experimenting and tried new ideas and you never knew what you would get the week after, and you could hear about asmr in the news and interviews with asmr artists, crazy thinking about it haha! Much of the best asmr was created back then. It was something really special with the community that I cant explain. The mass effect artbook video is still all time fav, and I still let it play in the background from time to time after all these years. Will you possibly make any book vids in the future, like reading a story or going though an artbook? What I love about your videos is that its always something you are passionate about, which makes it so much special and relaxing to listen to. Anyway I was never really active in your comment section back then, so I really want to say thank you for never deleting your ASMR videos, they have kept giving and giving and I cant explain with words how much they have been a part of my life during all these years. Based in Ireland here, very common to have exposed radiators there is one beside me. Most people tend to cover them with a sort of wooden jacket where you can put picture frames etc. A lot of people use exposed radiators to dry clothes too! Great video!

In Finland we use radiators that are connected to a central heating system. Depending on the size of the system, it might only have one home connected or in the case of a large apartment building - even hundreds. The system actually uses hot water most commonly heated by electricity from sustainable sources instead of oil or something akin to that, so it's reasonably ecological too. In addition, 99 % of the windows of modern homes in the nordic countries are double-paned, which allows an insulating layer of air in between the two windows. This substantially lowers the heat escaping from houses during the cold season, decreasing the need of actually running the whole system in the first place.

In the UK most homes have radiators, they are really good at heating our homes in the winter, I have a gas boiler that heats the water that goes around the house. We did have our bathroom one leak which luckily we spotted quickly and replaced it with a heated towel rail, they are great for drying clothes quickly

Underfloor heating is starting to be a thing, especially in new builds, but even there it tends to be limited to one or two rooms (usually kitchen and/or bathroom). I've lived in twelve different homes in the last forty years and every single one had exposed radiators. They are a bit annoying when it comes to decorating or significant home renovations, but useful for getting washing dried quickly in the wetter months when we can't line dry.
