Good information. My first, a Springfield Garrison in Stainless. Lets say mine is not Stock anymore. It was purchased about a year and half ago. I have learned a lot on mine. Interesting we both have done nearly the same replacements of factory parts. I chose a lot of Wilson Combat BP parts catching them on sale here and there. In the Garrisons you've owned, have you ever had the slide to frame move? This was after about 100 rounds in. When picked up new it was very well fit and tight. I almost sent it back, and got some advice to just shoot it. I guess the mating surfaces had to wear in. SA is not known for a pretty mating up of slide and frame in the rear. I can live with that. It has drifted back now. Great Information. Thanks.

I have been considering the purchase of a Garrison .45 ACP for a while. Your thorough discussion of this pistol and those you have previously owned has convinced me that it would not be a disappointing purchase. Thank you.

Thank you! I am excited that you found the video beneficial! I believe that the Garrison is probably the best buy in a 1911 right now.

Great review, I just picked one of these up a few months back. Have replaced the bushing w/ a EGW and a few of the MIM items, mostly the ignition stuff I’m really pretty happy with it. Runs flawless eats about anything
