My finest pistol. I’ve had no failures with this weapon at all, from straight out of the box until my present 450 round mark. It shoots more accurately than any of my other pistols in any other caliber. The sights are outstanding. The fit and finish is what I expected from a pistol in this price range. Great job!!

Man oh man, that thing looks good! I don't think there's a single thing I'd change about it. I've become a huge fan of a black rears with high contrast front sight. The whole gun seems like a cool cross b/w tactical & smooth. Hope to get some time with one soon.

Two old post from thefiringline and thehighroad forums, by one named 1911Tuner. "Do a quick test. Empty gun. Lock the slide to the rear. Pull the trigger fully rearward and hold it there. Use the slidestop to release the slide. If the hammer doesn't follow, you can probably cure it by bending the center leaf of the sear spring forward for more tension on the trigger. You'll add about a half pound to the trigger pull, but the trigger will stop bumping the disconnect and moving the sear. Be sure to support the sear spring a little above the junction before you start crankin' on it, or it'll snap like a dry twig. If the hammer does follow, you've got more serious problems that won't be as simple to remedy...but I suspect that it's a matter of needing more sear spring tension." --- "Followdown to half-cock is usually either caused by the trigger bumping the disconnect under inertia...with a little hammer bounce caused by using a too-light mainspring and overtweaking/lightening the sear spring tension of the left leg of the spring increasing the odds of the occurrence...or the hammer/sear interface is out of kilter. A quick test can help determine whether you need to add tension to the sear spring, or if you have a hammer and sear problem. Pull the trigger and hold it full rearward. Yank the slide back and release it abruptly so that it'll snap forward into battery...or let it fly with the slidestop..whichever way is more likely to produce the followdown. If the hammer stays put, add tension to the center leg of the sear spring, and a bit to the left leg probably wouldn't hurt, nor would ordering a Wolff 23-pound mainspring and installing it. If the hammer follows with the trigger held, it's likely a hammer and/or sear problem."

To everyone whining about the lack of a rail, Larry very plainly states that the concept for this 1911 was as a tribute, retro type pistol with some modern touches (for example the beaver tail and the checkering on the grip). It is very clearly such a weapon. Maybe if SA continues the line, you’ll see the light rail added later.

A couple things here: 1st- as a retired vet & long time 1911 user, I don’t get all the fascination with the need for a rail. YOU DON’T NEED F-ing LIGHT RAIL ON A CARRY GUN! 2nd- I own a Springfield 1911 (EMP4) along with an EB & two DWs. I would sell that Springfield in a min to the 1st offer. Make no mistake, it’s a fine pistol however, I will NEVER forgive, forget, or buy another firearm from them. If you want to flop down cash in the “teens” for a 1911, get a DW or another all forged gun. Don’t increase their profit margin by paying premium for a pistol utilizing MiM parts.
@murfrirhke45574 жыл бұрын
I agree on that account however, with the plethora of quality high cap duty pistols today, the 1911 may not be a great choice.
