Hi, thanks for your very clear explanation. I'm from Philippines and I'm Filipino. Here, we also have letter ñ. I think it's influence by Spaniards or Spanish, because here in the Philippines Spaniards colonized as for 333 years. That's why some or most of our words are the same or look alike. So I think it's easy for me to learn Spanish.

@Mariana from Spring Spanish Back in 19th century, 95% of the Filipinos used Spanish as their official language. But when the Americans, colonized us later on, the Spanish language was banned. I think its become officially gone since 1987.
