I can see through that filter. The air flow must be excellent. I must only filter out rabbits and birds. I love both. But being washable and saving money and trip to the store is a big selling point for me.

OMG 3:36 you can see your hand right through the filter. theres no way that filter stops anything smaller than a small bird....dirt ingestion damage as bad as k&n filters. pretty sure you will delete this comment soon.. not my bike or any of my customers.

They have their uses for race bikes/occasional spirited use street and mostly track bikes. The filter there is designed for race/track which isn't road riding. He's changing the oil based on dyno pulls and 'laps' down the strip not the odometer and the head will come off once a season to do valve checks and just have a look around and measure wear at a minimum. What is a season.in actual miles... OK say you do the full NHRA sanctioned events that between 8-12 events a year, add 3-4 Man Cup and maybe 4 PDRA events and annother 2-3 local events or one offs. So... thats what 24 race weekends max. Call it 4 runs on the thursday/Friday for testing, 4 in qualifying, and between 5 and 12 runs that count (IF you get past the heats or don't red-light or end up getting your ass dragged) thats 5 miles an event so if you get to the finals every event (or pick up a few grudge races at events) thats what.. 125miles a year, add annother 100 onto that to cover dynoing, short rides to test a new fuel map or exhaust or suspension settings, test & tune events at your local track and riding it in and out of the trailer/toy hauler and the odd mooch to a bike night and pose as well as inspection if required in state/the promot9rs rules for the streetbike class. So on a pure race bike in the 'street' classes stretched bike, no wheelie bars, D.O.T tyre stock cases OR a nitrous/turbo motor no wheelie bar etc. Hell pushing the boat and doing all that track time and a couple of nice runs out its still less than 10% of what the stock bike is expected to reach and so... because you are tearing down the motor so often, inspecting it before big race so you will witness well before any issues arise. For a road focused bike rhats expected to get new oil every 5000 miles, the valves checked and adjusted at 20k and camchain tension checked at the 5,10 and 20k services the p16/well maintained K&N is better because filtering debris and road grime matters more than the 1.5-5hp (this dyno run doesn't account for Ram Air as there is no high speed air being taken through the ducts as the bike is stood still obviously) gain from a race filter. Racing puts wear on vehicles and you have to put parts in thT yiu wouldnt use on the road. Yhats a fact of life. I don't understand why.you are attacking brock for putting a race filter on a race bike and making it clear it has drawbacks and the paper filter makes sense for road miles. 'Not your bike or your customers' are you running a privateer drag team? Or servicing customer owned drag bikes? If not thats about as relevant as the fact I don't put race filters and 110 octane race gas in my chainsaws.

I tried out a lot of different air filters until I installed the Sprint Filter which is the best you can buy. I have been using the Sprint Filter since a couple of years on different motorcycle and I can highly recommend it. It's a very good investment and I will never go back to other brands. Thanks to "Brock's" for the video and his expertise!

" I installed the Sprint Filter which is the best you can buy." Best how? Based on what?
@1ScvReady3 жыл бұрын
Exactly how is it the best? Maybe it’s the best at letting the most amount of dirt into your air box? Because that exactly what mine was the best at. Plus it wasn’t even the race version of this filter. These air filters have very poor construction quality and are pretty much garbage. You’re better off running no filter at all...
@crazypeo5 жыл бұрын
I don't care if the filter give my 3hp if it does not filter the air enough. KTM had problems with a small leak in the airbox, it had devastating effect on the motor. Do the SPRINT filter have the same filter effect as oem? I have seen several test on K&N filter that did NOT filter the air as good as oem filter. Still, I run mine bike with K&N, it had some damage done to it by previous owner. I need a new air filter, what filter should I get? SPRINT, K&N, BMC or OEM? It's a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K7 (2007) Yoishi with 53000km on the meter....

I wonder if this air filter is the standard sprint filter and the race version would be any difference? I was not able to find a filter with the same amount of pours as the one used in the video from sprint. The one I’m able to find for my 2016 gsxr 1000 is P08F1-85 with innovative polyester material. That means it’s the same as other filters which require using cleaning kit to get it back in the loop. Can you assist were to find exactly the same filter you experimented, but compatible with 2016 gsxr 1000? A direct link would be extremely helpful.

Monir Mahdi Brock in this video has tested the P08F1-85 (and he said P08F1-85). And the air filter is available for the last model of the GSX-R1000

Hey Brock. I just purchased the sprint filter and my bike has been dyno with a PC5 on it. I just sent my ECU off to be flashed. My question is can I run my PC 5 and flashed ECU at the same time? And do I have to put my bike back on the dyno??

Have you noticed any dirt or debris get past your air filter? Just bought one of these and I'm anxious to know whether or not it'll damage the bike
@weRRidezz Жыл бұрын
@The Lants It won't damage the bike at all. Also, there will be no debris that will get inside your air intake. The best one to get is the F1-85. I hope you got that one.
