I had a dad like that, engineering mindset, OCD, awesome projects. But he never taught me DIY skills, he was extremely impatient and volatile...so I had to learn everything by myself. By now I've installed two Ikea kitchens, renovated homes, even did plumbing and drywall. It's been a tough road with many mistakes, but if you haven't already: Get yourself de power tools this Christmas and do it! I'm too disabled by now to do serious DIY but still love small projects. Hello there! I like a lot your project and hope to build similar in few years enjoying travelling in China with my (chinese) wife when kids will be older... Be careful! I did notice at minute 16:37, your hand move over a release Temperature and Pressure valve, such safety equipment has to be connected to a drainage system! Be careful there are electrical parts all around! Be safe and wish both of you well!... A new French fan following your videos from China! ;-D Love you guys, with your puppy!

I would suggest insulating that water tank as it's outside......at the very least, wrap reflectix around it so it doesn't freeze.

We don’t use it much in the winter. Do a lot of dry camping. But the antifreeze works well too.

Might regret reducing that drain before it exited the bottom of the van. If it backs up, it’s easier to work on below the van then rip out the shower.
