I think they changed it so that now you need to use "sprite event" instead of "sequence event"

1:20 man that is REALLY useful, you can easily get the frame an attack should spawn a hitbox and just do it, with the ability to easily and intuitively change what frame that is.

Ah thanks for help about sound. I had a problem about 10 frame sprite to sync with walking audio. This will work im sure!

Think about making an explosion that has the sounds match to the frame exactly. I did not know I needed this.

Why is this broadcast system not instance specific. Like the instance that draws the sprite will trigger the broadcastevent.

That's how GameMaker's Async events work. An Async message may be sent out by anyone, and any active instance can receive it, given that they have the appropriate Async event. It's in that event that you can decide what to do with the message, and whether you should react to it at all.
