Hi, I would like to know if the thread where the head of the landing net is screwed is made of brass or poor quality aluminum which tends to fall apart when the head of the landing net is screwed on. A thousand thanks. Best regards from Italy

Hi the end of the handle is good quality the thread etc is fine. The main issue was where that end attached to the extension part ( glued ) that is why I put a bolt through. Hope that helps

@@chuckitandsea can you compare flick and flip net?
@chuckitandsea Жыл бұрын
HTO flip was better and cheaper than the Flick IMHO I have a £15 Korum snapper now and it’s been great so far little less precise on locking but very good value so far

Great mods, really clever. Which kind of net attach to this? Im looking for a cheap, light and compact solution for streetfishing. round 50x50cm. Flick net is something I like.

I’m currently using a Koran snapper it’s great and I paid £15 for it !!! I used to use a HTO net until this happened kzbin.info/www/bejne/roKuoGOllLuqiNksi=FkZMp6QkFjoxVhUE

Thank you for the great Video! Did you have any corrosion issues in combination with salt water? How long did you old handle last?
@chuckitandsea Жыл бұрын
Hi thanks, The old handle was used for over a year and was still working fine until the end came off !! you can see it on the last of the sea bass videos. No corrosion issues I did wash it off with fresh water after most times. .. tight lines 🎣

@@chuckitandsea So it was the glue failing only, no cracked carbon? Thanks for your Feedback! Tight lines!
@chuckitandsea Жыл бұрын
@@_plinse the end is glued in that’s why I drilled and pinned it 👍🏻
@_plinse Жыл бұрын
@Chuck it and sea I understand but connecting carbon and metal is always a challenge. Chemically they are too different and mechanically also. You will find out whether the bolt will make the carbon crack. What I like is the option to use 3 different lengths. I will give it a try. Thank you!!
@chuckitandsea Жыл бұрын
@@_plinse only to outside cover is carbon. The extension parts are plastic and aluminium the part I drilled through was not carbon.

What size hole did drill in end cap ?
@chuckitandsea Жыл бұрын
I think about 3.5 mm the hole size is not really important it’s only to hold the cord and let water out 👍🏻

No idea why they dont do a pin in the factory. It is a problem from day 1 that the carbon nets came out

Perhaps they will give me a job in development 😂 I was shocked tbf but the fix is done 👍🏻

Spro advertises the handle to 'half turn twist' extend. However, I have to do a whole bunch of twists to extend a part of the handle. You know where this half twist comes from?
@chuckitandsea Жыл бұрын
Deffo not this handle ! I’ve not seen that advertisement mine is several turns unless you just leave it on the last part of the thread. No idea how they think this is half a twist. Maybe a different handle ?
