Biggest takeaway for me (aside from what I already know) is that you don’t have to be afraid of love not working out because hard times come and go and doors open and doors close. Everyone learns about love at their own rate I guess

Gold!!! took me years to get that. Didnt like being away from work until I realised nobody cared and if I fall sick and cant work, I will be replaced. Now, if someone asks me to do something and I have scheduled a rest, I say am busy or am booked.

This is the God's word, Deuteronomy 5: 12-15: "Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy, as Jehovah thy God commanded thee. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work; but the seventh day is a sabbath unto Jehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy man-servant and thy maid-servant may rest as well as thou. And thou shalt remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God brought thee out thence by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm: therefore Jehovah thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day." (ASV) You ain't just doing something. You're following the God's commandment. Genesis 2: 1-3: "And the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it he rested from all his work which God had created and made." (ASV) The rest is blessed by the God. The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why deception and violence are everywhere. This is the reason why liers and murderers feel good while righteous persons are persecuted. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)

I agree with this. I became a widow when I was 62 and decided to move back to Australia to be with my granddaughter and daughter. I was grieving but caring for my 3 year old granddaughter gave me a purpose in life and I felt freedom to live my life as I wished. In 2012 I met a man online, and we have been partners in life and love since. We dont live together but spend several days per week together. We have a loving and supportive relationships. Today we sat in the park, enjoying the sunshine and the trees around us, there was even a new Gymea flowering which we’ll watch its’ progress over the year. I think that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important, keep moving and eat well. I still cook and exercise 3 x times weekly at the gym . wth kettlebells. AT 82 I feel contented with my life - as the motto goes: “Have someone to love, someone who loves you, something to do every day or be responsible for and take care of yourself.”. Greetings from Australia

Marriage isn’t for me … commitments … having children … In a world where everything corrupted … I know my happiness won’t be in these things at all … There no point lying and pretending…. How many people get married and wish they never was ( majority) In the Hindu tradition were a magalsutra and sindoor is so holy sign that a women is married …. No one wear it anymore in this century… Who are we kidding to just pretend …. Because everyone done it and I should to ( no I m not interested and I hope who ever had my destiny destined for … respects that marriage and kids this lifetime is not for me at all ) I like my alone time …. I like my freedom… let me be universe Maybe in the next few lifetime if I come back and we’re in the golden ages of real love … then perhaps But not this lifetime… it’s really not for me at all 🙂

I have a question that I've been wondering for years. In these past 6 years without your husband, do you feel as if you have more time though your day to work on thing for you? Do it feel the same as when women get divorced? Although I know it's different because he didn't hurt you or leave you intentionally. But the time spent being a wife I heard is not the same when you're single. In your situation it's different of course but do you feel more alive and free??? Thank you in advance if you can answer my question. I really appreciate it.

Inspiring. We can cultivate that, too. This is sometimes said to be a bad part of aging, that we get lost in our memories, but if we can do that, we have a place to go that nourishes us. We can remember better with practice. I also read that if we have music we love to listen to, it can energize us and improve our memory.

You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.

I found this page without searching for it but it’s exactly what I was needing to see. I’m 44 & I’ve taken an unrighteousness beating from life and today is one horrific day. It always helps me to hear from someone experienced in suffering, as I’m just fighting to find the silver lining. I want to thank Gladys because what I’ve taken from her conversation is that there might be another side to this awful life for me. I struggle with the waiting. It’s been 20 years of abject cruelty & neglect & I’m now disabled & can see no way out. I have no real family or friends. There’s just me trying to make a way out of no way. Gladys is a beautiful soul who, in this moment of sorrow, is inspiring me to just hold on. I don’t know what’s coming…if it’ll be better or worse…but tonight, I’m trying not to give up in case tomorrow holds some hope I can’t see yet. So, Gladys, THANK YOU so very much! ❤❤❤

A wonderful lady, Dr Gladys. My husband divorced me after 30 years of marriage. I can relate. I found renewed meaningful work and it is still carrying me through. Very satisfying especially in retirement. What retirement! Dr Gladys does not talk about her faith. If she were a Christian, she would. That is a concern. Where will she spend eternity? With God or without God. We are eternal beings. Without God is called hell. With God, she needs an entrance ticket. His name is Jesus. No one is perfect. We all sinned. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. Is there any other religious leader that did that? Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by him. A quote from the Bible. I will pray for Dr Gladys.

She didn't get to study past middle school but if she had been given the opportunity, I wonder how much more impact she would have had. She volunteered at a children's hospital, she had her own small business for a while, and she could crochet like no one. She crocheted my son's baby blanket when she was 99. Interesting perspective. After seventy plus years and having lost two wives to disease, I consistently ask myself why, of all people, am i still here? What Gladys said to me is "I am not thinking about my life correctly." As a septuagenarian I can continue on without fear, or blame, revel in the shared memories of my life and of those who I shared the experience, and as Gladys advises spread that light we find on our individual paths. I was especially moved by the challenges she meet by being unafraid. World War Two she said had considerable bad news for everyone. She learned she was not alone and was able to deal with the fear in that knowledge. We are all afraid at certain points in time. Gladys's fear of hunger resonated with me the most. If you are hungry, though no fault of your own, you just keep looking for the "light." That may sound a bit non-specific, but I understood what she was trying to say. We are not hungry alone. We learn to share and make the best of our common experience. There were other nuggets of advice I took from Gladys's perspective, so I saved a copy of this video to reference from time to time. I am not confident my life would last anywhere near one hundred years and that is not my goal. All I ask is to depart this world with the peace of mind that my life was worth the journey and somewhere, I was able benefit my fellow travelers with what I had learned.

Sprouht, you looked shocked that Gladys' husband found new love at 70. My mother got married again at 79! They were both widowed, had known each other for 25 years😅 but were married to others. They were adorable and so happy together! I see many who don't want another relationship. There are still people that do. And when it's unexpected, it's like one of those pleasant surprises in life that just happen. In one of your interviews, a woman said, and I'm paraphrasing, don't pay attention to lifes expiration date! I love that! The above is a great example. Love your vids. Always thought-provoking 👍💞
