Hi. Can you use soil in these trays? Is using soil (minerals) better than just using the paper towel? Thanks

+Nekya This sprouter is designed just for growing wheatgrass. You can use as designed for soilless growing or remove the insert and use soil. Mold is not an issue if the wheatgrass is rinsed regularly as shown in this video.

+Nekya It is designed for growing grasses. You wouldn't be able to do other sprouts like alfalfa etc.

what if you don't have a facet sprayer? Is there some thing else you can use ?

Directly from the tap should be fine. All long as you are rinsing well with some water pressure it will prevent mold growth.
