Checking out this CG for some fly fishing on Tarryall Creek. Looks like you gotta bring your own shade at this location. Thanks for all y'all do to helping this road warrior from the southeast pick out some good campgrounds and campsites!

We have camped there 3 times the last two seasons and we’re going back in a few weeks. We love it! It’s beautiful near the creek & nice hiking too. It’s also a quick drive to taryall reservoir.

Looks like a good one, what with the interesting rock formations.

I stayed here a lot as a kid and one year a family friend took a bunch of us on a hike up the hill behind site 006 I believe and he took us through an amazing cave type thing with bats and all. I can’t remember how to get to it but wish I could find it.

That would be cool to find the cave

Is this close to lake George? Also can we paddleboard lake George?
@CampgroundRecon Жыл бұрын
It’s halfway between Lake George and Tarryall Reservoir. Lake George is privately owned.

@@CampgroundRecon great video by the way. So any suggestions where we can paddleboard nearby?
@CampgroundRecon Жыл бұрын
@@texas2far maybe Tarryall. I think there is a small lake nearby but don’t know what access is like

Nice. We camped here October 2020, our last outing of the season. There was a mix of rain and snow and got pretty cold that night. There are a couple of walk-in sites beyond that bridge area, but really secluded and beautiful. Thanks for the video!

Its a nie smaller CG BUT if you are looking for being out in forest or far from everything this CG aint it. There are multiple houses within sight of the loop. Kills the whole vibe of camping out when you look across and see homes with lights on etc etc.

Yeah. I like to feel remote when camping

Thanks for the useful video. Appreciate it. Do we need to book any entrance pass online for Pikes National forest entry in order to do camping here ? Also is this campground easily accessible from Pikes peak mountain ?
@CampgroundRecon3 жыл бұрын
No fee for the forest. Just the campground fee. It is about an hour drive to the entrance of Pike's Peak Toll Road.

So…are sites like #26 etc available for tents or only rv’s?
@CampgroundRecon3 жыл бұрын
Either one. We've had to set up tents in the driveway at some campgrounds that didn't have enough room.
