I really appreciate the way you explained your reasoning behind certain steps! A lot of the felting tutorials I've been looking at just kind of say "this is how we do it", but you explain why you're doing what you're doing, and even why it might be different from what other people are doing, and I find that really helpful!

Within 48 Hours of watching this video I made a Wizard hat of my own out of plain ol wool. It looks incredible and costed nothing but time and effort. I messed up the first hat that took me four hours all together including the design of the template. I made a second incredibly higher quality one in only 2 hours. I’m exhausted but so satisfied.

For years I have wanted to make hats, so far I've only made one by using an old felt hat and redoing it into a pork pie hat like Buster Keaton's. I spent years doing research on how to do it perfectly, and just never got around to it. Last year was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and my ability to paint and sculpt like I have my whole life has been drastically affected. But I realized today that since I hadn't gotten around to felting scarves clothing and hats that I won't feel depressed at the fact that I can't feel very much on my right hand anymore because I'll be picking up a skill that I researched but never put into practice I'm lucky that yours was the first video that came up for me. You have definitely helped reawaken an interest and I look forward to doing this myself very soon. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos you have inspired me in a way that I haven't felt for quite some time😊

somewhat estimating on my part. Some people do math. Make a 10x10 sample, felt it down, figure % of shrinkage. Make a template based on that. I guestimate, is the template is good Ill keep using it, if its not Ill adjust it and make another. The template material is cheep
