A good Geologist or Engineer would open their own spoon, then give it back to you reassembled and clean. Their hard to come by but they are out there.

Nick Nunya I wish I had one. They would never touch a spoon or the sample, they would let my helper do it all and just look at the jar to get his blow count. Then when in rock they would come over every 3 or 4 runs to get the info on the box

@@bobtaylor5196 literally all the engineers i've worked with reassembled the spoon. there was one girl that wouldn't and it was because she was so fat that it hurt her arms. there was also another one who couldn't get some of the spoons together but at least she tried

2:35 also not a great idea to put your hand on the anvil to reposition the AW rod, some guy from work lost his fingers that way

@@506jeff Drilled for 5 years before becoming Technician and now have over 30 years experience as Geotechnical and Environmental Technician. Opening spoon not in our job description and anyone thinks otherwise is the lazy one! Good drilling company, good driller and helper are always responsible for opening the spoon!!!!

There's a very narrow part of the country where CPT test work it's great if you live in the South or parts of the east coast otherwise good luck

See gentlemen, come and do this procedure with that team, here in Bogota in a building that will be demolished when you leave the building permit , to lift the large project, to see how the eye is you! Aah , that's not all ! Ask that they pay what it's worth drilling really do with that team.

A ver señores, vengan a hacer ese procedimiento, con ese equipo, aquí en Bogotá en una construcción que va a ser demolida a futuro, luego de que salga el permiso de construcción, para levantar un enorme proyecto grande, para ver cómo les queda el ojo! Aah, eso no es todo! Y pidan que les paguen lo que vale hacer, realmente, las perforaciones con ese equipo.
