This isn’t true though, they all have gotten angry before when there offer isn’t taken on the spot, and they wanted to hear the other offers and have bailed because of it. As someone who’s been bingeing this show I can tell you it’s pretty even between all of them, and it’s a very lame move.

Just need to remember that this is actual money being offered. When you are putting it out there you’ll invest a quarter of a million dollars and express interest in the product and said entrepreneur starts chatting to someone else who hasn’t even said a single thing… yeah it might be a little offensive.

Although Shark Tank likes to present itself in that manner nowadays, this isn't the happy go feel good everyone gives you money for nothing show. These Sharks are shrewd business people who want a deal for themselves as well, because of the brands they built around themselves, which is why this show exists in the first place.

He used it properly - what he means is that you would never show up uninvited to a party where people didn't want you (because that would be immensely uncomfortable), you would show up uninvited to a party where everyone is happy to see you (and be surprised and excited that you are there). In other words, Robert making an offer amongst other offers was "crashing the party" and the entrepreneurs started making offers to Lori, making him feel like they weren't interested in him personally. I think with two offers on the table it was slightly rude to not at least acknowledge them and say "thank you for your offers", especially since they went right to Lori and now we trying to convince her. Odd strategy.
