First episode I ever shed a tear! When Barbara started talking about waiting tables and breaking down when she realized "This isn't it" and that she didn't have the secret formula and she changed her life by becoming HJNGRY for knowledge! I come from absolutely nothing, and I started my business late 2022 and I've been burying myself in books about business, investing and financial literacy trying to CHANGE me and my small daughters lives! It's starting to come to fruition and I pray i find myself on the Tank one day being admired in the same way this gentleman was. This man, HAS to feel better than ANYONE who ever left the "Tank" without a deal! We're all worthy! Talent comes natural, but skill is only developed through mastery!

I love the fact that all the sharks remain cordial and "friendly" despite throwing shade every now and then and like in this case, they wont stand for a good guy making a bad deal offered up by one of their colleagues. I guess thats business in a nutshell, but its cool to see they understand its all business between each other even though Mark and Roberts advice may cost Kevin to lose out on a profitable deal for himself, theyre thinking about the entraprenuer who isnt rich and famous like Kevin is and relies on their business. I know if I threw out a deal that heavily benefitted me, id be upset if someone talked them out of it.

I think they could be right, because Seneca has a significant bankruptcy risk. Other possibilities: -Go to a specialty lender for inventory financing -Raise prices enough to put $300-500K in the bank, flattening growth for 3-6 months, then start growing again. -Negotiate more of a just-in-time inventory model with the manufacturer. -Tolerate a percentage of back-orders, or charge more for fast delivery.

Mr. NotSoWonderful real did a number on this pitch. I applaud Mark and Robert for calling out Kevin's offer and advising him not to go for it.

I’m not following the issue that the Sharks were having. His demand is exceeding his inventory and he does not have the capital to fund the POs. Seems like a perfect opportunity for them to finance the inventory to significantly grow the business prior to selling it. They can even control demand through raising prices and lowering demand, while increasing margin. This video is missing a component.

Ten percent of a 20% margin is too risky, if they do that and fail that's 500k down the drain, especially since after airing this episode the competition would work hard to copy the allergen free adhesive

@@ryanhacker5259 Yes but can't they work towards improving the margins? I still don't understand why the margins are so bad.

@@williamhorn363 to improve the margins they have to increase prices because costs are already low, and that will alienate many customers
