I'm currently caught up in the current
that has taken this town by flood
took my last breath but nobody heard me
as my lungs filled up
and finally the dam had busted
finally we bent until we broke
no longer the system we trusted
they'll have their fucking hands around our throats

I think that I can see the sun from the top of my burning city
I don't think I have ever seen something that looks quite as pretty
I don't know if the flood will ever come
and reach the flames of my burning city
how could they ever want to stop something that looks quite as pretty?
