I'm a metered propane guy all the way now, but for aerosol cannons I recommend trying Silicone spray. It is dual action. The propane acts as the fuel and the silicone keeps your electrodes from rusting.

Are you saying, that you want to launch potatoes with smokeless powder inside them? I’m not familiar with smokeless powder, does it combust with a hard enough impact? I finally finished my last launcher and only had one opportunity to use it with my dog before she got an infection and I had to put her down. She loved the cannons I made for her to play fetch with, and would lose her shit if she saw me with a pvc pipe in my hand. The last one had a clear pvc pipe powered by Propane or Map gas and oxygen. It’s pretty bad ass and goes off like a Howitzer.

I usually use axe or similar body sprays. They are reliable and produce a nice amount of energy to propel your ammunition.

For a reliable and inexpensive method for obtaining a good air-fuel mixture use a syringe to measure the fuel. You need to calculate how much fuel need. For my cannon I use a butane bottle for refilling lighters, but you can fill syringes with spray deodorant since the gas used to pressurize the contents is butane, isobutane or propane.

I've used propane and it works very well. you didn't put near enough propane in the combustion chamber for it to ignite. a torch isn't an effective tool if you are trying to load propane

Propane with a torch head u need to spray for 30 seconds...its mixing with air so very small amount is getting in there. If u just push the propane valve down with a nail and blast it in there one short burst then scoop 3 4 times with air from your cap. Butane and works best for me one quick short spray.

2:08 propane is heavier than air - the fumes drained out the barrel end. Starting fluid is the best bang for the buck.

I get a 3 foot flame outta my using gasoline, but if I block the barrel I get a blast sideways due to the reliefs I drilled into the barrel :-) hehe 120mm with a range of 500 yards lol not fun with the recoil though, it took my friend off his feet,, he was only 130 pounds.... still compare it to a 10 gauge

Propane has to be in a ratio of air to fuel in order to fire. 4.9 % fuel to air and must be mixed( with a fan)

Ik it’s not the best option, but I use gasoline. Put it in a spray bottle with an adjustable nozzle so you can make it spray a fine mist and boom

Propane does work the best. You seal the back, and put it in through a small, pre-drilled, hole. This works best because the hole is plugged, and you can light it using the torch attachment.

The propane doesn't work because it's a heavier gas and since you held the potato gun upside down it all flowed out the barrel and went outside. You need to put something in the barrel even a lot of Kleenex or something to keep the gas in the chamber.

propane works the best, but it takes two people for best results. Hold it in there for 15 seconds then quickly shit the cap. trust me it put a hole through a laptop and gives good kick

Most of the products you are using use propane as a propellent. Propane is a very strong fuel but must be measured out right. You to go the spud files and look up metered direct propane injection. It will help a lot.

You need to shave that barrel by about a foot and a half. It's too bulky for one person to use. All you need is either a can of ether or starter fluid. It doesn't take much. I use right guard. Seems to take a bit of it though.

I use an atomizer and gasoline.. barks a 3 foot flame out of a 120mm barrel lol.... then again, mine made of abs, which is rated to 1200psi... dont use that pvc shit, its for water pressure (100psi) oh mine fires walnuts about 400 yards over our river lol ps, the propane wont work like that, plug the barrel a cloth or toilet paper and cap it before your cap the propane and while your closing the propane bottle all the propane is leaking outta the gun LOL...

this test is not a good comparison, because the muzzle energy fluctuates rapidly from shot to shot, even with the same fuel. You'd have to measure the amount of fuel exactly and make about 10 shots to be able to compare it.
