I wonder if when Tool and Failure toured together they ever mixed up Adam Jones with their bass player. Hey man, you’re not on this bus, and you’re not in our band! - “Oh yeah...”
@vinniecentz3 жыл бұрын
They did a tour together indeed, and Adam often played guitar with them as a guest in Macaque

Greg would probably have no trouble playing Tool songs on guitar. He is quite the skilled guitarist too!

YES!!! I fucking LOVE Alicia Widar! She does the most amazing yet simple covers of 80s-90s music. I love her cover of There is a Light That Never Goes Out by The Smiths. I requested Junkhead by AIC n Idk if it was a coincidence or if she saw my request but she did a cover of it and it was so good. I've converted literally all of her videos to mp3s so I can put them on my phone n hear them anytime. lol, I hope that's not somehow illegal.

Alicia Widar does a kick-ass acoustic cover! Paramore has a great cover too! Such an underrated band. They seem to get unfairly lumped in with bands like Silverchair and Collective Soul - bands that tried to use the whole flannel-grunge look to sell records. Not saying those bands didn't have a few good songs n it was probably their labels that made them do it, but still...they don't belong in that category imo
@mrhobs Жыл бұрын
Yeah failure is definitely not grunge… although I kind of take issue with that label. Take Nirvana, the only good grunge band pretty much (imo). Even they were more punk/folk rock than anything else.
@ctguitarguy8510 Жыл бұрын
This is considered post grunge alt rock that followed in the second half of the 90s.

@Andyface7910 ай бұрын
Well at the time rock radio was stuff like Matchbox 20 and Bush. Failure sounded different and not as immediate. I do think if this had come out when it was supposed to it might’ve been bigger.
@g.prince626510 ай бұрын
@@Andyface79 true and those bands have a place but why weren't their record company like hey this is better than most shit,and push them,I just answered my own question,cuz they would've been heard too much and ruined,🤔🤘

I would really like to hear modern day Failure with a second guitarist. They already have a huge sound with just Greg on guitar but they could be galactic with a second player.
Wal MK1. Spray painted silver. Went through at least 3 de-re fret jobs in its life under Greg. Now owned by Justin Chancellor of Tool as his backup to his main Wal. Was used on the final production of Aeaima.
