DCS World 2.7 Breathtaking Graphics and Settings Tutorial!

Hey guys! In this video I wanted to go over all of the System and Graphical settings that I use to make DCS World look as beautiful as possible. This has been a video that many many folks have been asking for, for a long time now in PM's and Comments as well as pings on discord.
A lot of things have Changed in DCS World 2.7 but at the same time a lot of things haven't changed as well. A lot of my settings are very similar if not totally the same as my last Breathtaking graphics tutorial video that was created nearly two but many things have also changed. The goal of this video is to try and give you as much knowledge as possible to help you make your own decisions in regards to DCS World graphics and system settings to suite your PC and your needs.

This is a textbook example of how to do a proper tutorial. Slow and with detailed explanations, not rambling on at a hundred mph with mouse curer flying all over the place. Great work.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I had almost given up on DCS, being constantly unable to make it look decent and playable at the same time. I couldn't believe it was possible to make DCS look as good as this and still achieve smooth, playable frame rates on my PC.

This is so helpful and I am very grateful. There are so many options for settings these days and I am trying to learn what does what as I am getting back into this from a 6 year break. New system, new versions of everything, going to see how this works out. I can tell just the date and time makes a big difference.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to share this information. Was having major stuttering issues with the F-16 and F-14 modules, every 4 or 5 seconds at times making both nigh on unplayable, yet the F-18, AH64D, KA50 and FC3 didn't have this problem, which was confusing. What was more frustrating was sometime the issue wasn't as bad then same map settings etc it would return. Followed your guidance and it transformed fps and fixed all the pauses / stutters on both the F-14 and F-16. So thank you again.

Just changing time of day from noon makes a huge difference. As soon as you mentioned that in your first video about settings, it really did make it feel like it had more depth. Thank you for going through all of the settings and explaining what they do.

OMG, I just followed this advise and now things run buttery smooth and look great. I did have to kill a few other things but I have a I7 6600 with a 2080 Super and it was ugly and this just made me fall in love with DCS again. The time of day and clouds in mission editor really do make a difference. Man, cant thank you enough.

In all honesty I have yet to watch a graphics setting tutorial all the way through to completion for fear of messing up something until now and with nothing to compare this one to, I can't really say "great video". BUT... I CAN say AWESOME VIDEO!!!! I'm sensing that it did something to my PC not so much graphic wise(which were still in my opinion, pretty good to begin with.) I was able to notice right away the smoothness of flight, though I was and still am afterwards clocking 80+ fps via screen and 40+ fps via VR. Smoothness and ease of control in plane automatically became much easier and not like I was always having to fight for control of aircraft during transitional moments of t/o and landing. So with that, I went to next hurdle of AAR which I had already completely given up on. WOW WOW WOW... much THANKS Spud!!!!!

Hey Spud, I have learnt so much from you and now want to give something back. If you open the World.lua file in Notepad++ you can edit the time and date (located in line 2) and set it to whatever time and date you want for every new mission. The World.lua file is in the following location - Your drive:\DCS World OpenBeta\MissionEditor
