Stratovarius vs Budokai - Challengers Hunting High and Low (Mash-up)

This mash-up features "Hunting High and Low" by Stratovarius and the alleged rip-off counterpart from DBZ: Budokai called "Challengers" and also known as "Namek Stage".
The video that I paired along with it is a montage of all the key moments of DBZ from the Saiyan Saga to the Buu Saga, done via Budokai 1 and 3. Sorry for the massive letterboxing during gameplay footage, it was the only way to cut out the meters and HUD overlays.
I do not claim rights to either Stratovarius or the Budokai Soundtrack songs, but I did create this mix. Hope you enjoy!

People complain about budokai's music but the funny thing is; people who liked the original songs will be impressed by how well budokai recreated them and those who gre up with budokai will be interested in the original songs; through the game. Either way you look at it, it's win:win. The only way it can go bad is if someone rants over and over about how bad it is, rather than accepting what happens.

The song isn't even edited a bit like Budokai did; its just the same song. What happened to the guy who made that music? He got a paycheck and kept his job. The world is a strange place my friend. Sometimes you get caught, other times nobody really cares. Even when people report on it a lot :/

Being good doesn't justify plagiarism, though. The original creators should at least be credited and paid for considering that the music was copied to help turn a profit.

Doom 1 and 2 for example (the originals) did not only the same thing but in doom 2, nearly an entire album was copied for their music; since a good number of songs all originated from it. Nintendo's Super Mario World Athletic song was also copied from "Green Greens", a song from america that was copied by a japanese composer who later inspired the musician at nintendo. Surprisingly DBZ Dokkan has some songs that sound inspired by Budokai 3 (or at least have the same heart) so it kinda lives on without plagurism. Still, we cannot ignore his actions, even if they continued doing it after they fired him; although that would be a story for another day.

It was also used in Budokai 2 for the Muscle Tower/Snow stage. All games after that lack it. Aside from the US version of Tenakichi 1 which does use it because the Japanese version used the Japanese TV music and Atari wasn't sure if they had the copyright in the US or not... or something along those lines.

+Urasitti No, actually, not sad at all. Video game composers don't have lyrics to try and work around in their music so the focus is more on rhythm and instrumentation. It helps the final product loop better.

@albertlance Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 1 and 2 are for the nintendo GameCube and Playstation 2. Budokai 3 is for playstation 2 only. Or, if you want you can get the Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD collection for the XBox 360 and Playstation 3. But that game only has Budokai 1 and 3, not 2.
