I have been a machinist for almost 25 years, if I had a dollar for every drawing that said "HOT" on it I would not have to be a machinist anymore. 😀

@@ChrisMaj Aw, such a big boy and still hasn't learned... 1. HOT items must cool down first before they can be picked - and too quick cooling may warp them, and 2. ASAP never actually specifies any "specific" date, does it? "You make it as soon as possible, and I'll pick it... ASAP too". ;-)

_Chris, I really enjoyed seeing the print at _*_9:59_**_,_*_ and then seeing your calculator at _*_10:48_*_ for achieving the specified Ra. Thanks for showing that!_ 👍 _I am curious why the engineer specified a coarser 32 finish on the 6.301/6.302 journal, as compared to a finer 8/16 finish on the 6.998/7.002 journal._ _Seems like the finer finish should go with the tighter tolerance, and vise versa. _*_Any thoughts?_* 🤔
@ChrisMaj

Bearing goes on the 6.301/6.302 (32 fin). Seal/gasket goes on 6.998/7.002 that's why the 8/16 finish.
