Spurgeon is one of my heroes of the faith! All of Grace was given to me by another Christian and it helped lead me to Jesus. It also started me on a Spurgeon deep dive where I read so many of his sermons and other works, and I've been doing so for years now, yet there's still so much more to read! My favorites are All of Grace, Lectures to My Students, and many of his sermons. I visited the Met Tab in Elephant and Castle and spent some time attending it when I lived in London. Peter Masters is now the pastor. He encouraged me personally in many ways and I'm thankful for his ministry in bringing back Spurgeon's legacy to the Met Tab. And a mutual friend gave my wife and I a nice copy of Spurgeon's Morning and Evening for our wedding too. (I also got to visit some of the sites of my other heroes of the faith at this time like John Bunyan and John Owen at Bunhill Fields, C.S. Lewis at The Kilns in Oxford, etc.)

The biggest warning is that after spending time with Spurgeon, you might find yourself smoking a good cigar to the glory of God! Two copies for me, one on my nightstand, one in my truck. Good review as always!

Recently found your channel and now I'm going to use it to feed my soul. Currently I'm going through hard struggles as I am persecuted by my family and isolated by them from church and all my brothers and sisters in Christ. I'm glad to remember that there are christians like you, firm in the Bible and faith.

*OFF TOPIC QUESTION* I just got an e-mail from Reformation Heritage touting the 14 vol. Puritan Treasure for Today...40% off. I know you've suggested Reformation Heritage before.....do you have any input on this set? Thank you!!

Looks to be a great set, I got the same email. I don’t have any of the volumes to speak with authority. But I have heard Joel Beeke say great things about them in the past. Three things stand out: (1) They have selected works for the series that are manageable length for most readers and cover a balanced spread of theological topics (so, they won’t publish all Puritan works or longer ones in the series. But they will publish good ones). (2) Every one has been carefully edited to help the modern reader (this is great, but if you care about complete or unabridged titles another series might win out). (3) I can’t speak to the binding, text layout, or production quality (but they look to be pretty good). I just know old banner of truth books used to be pretty flimsy so they were affordable and now they have much better print quality. But this series looks decently done. If you order it, let me know what you think on all of those points once you get them.
