Aguero has never been close to best player of the year, but kane has. Even won European golden boot iirc. Yet aguero's legacy and the fear of him among defenders is a lot greater. Just to be clear. Sergio Aguero is the best striker in premier league history. He was injured for a combined total of 4 seasons out of the 10 he was at City, yet he’s got the most goals for a single club, the most goals by a non English player and the most hat-tricks. Also, the most important statistic when debating who was the greatest striker- greater than how many goals you scored, is your goals to minute ratio. Aguero is a million miles ahead of any other striker in this category. Far better goals per minute than Kane, Henry, Rooney or Shearer. He’s the greatest player we’ve ever seen at sticking the ball in the back of the net
