This stat has meaning if its all about getting the best players by simply paying the most money, but is this really how it works? Surely most players consider things like challenging for trophies and European football, wages is a factor but it's not the be all and end all. Another stat is Tottenham has the 8th highest wage bill in the Premier league, so if these stats have any meaning then that should equate to finishing 8th in the table. Our current position is 15th so that would suggest the manager is underachieving. See how these things work? Kinda meaningless really, Do Forest, Fulham or Bournemouth have bigger wage bills than us? No so why are we grabbing this and running with it, it's all down to Ange, injuries I get, but to be fair we were loosing before the injuries, time for people to accept that his out of his depth and we are underachieving.

@johnbarnes-c9q yes we are underachieving. I agree. But a few points to consider. When we finished 3rd under conte, we had one of the best managers in the world, in a top stadium, with CL football, with one of the best strikers in the world. So what stopped up signing some of the top players? It’s wages mainly. And what is the reason? Because the club is focused on profit, not success as most fans would measure it. To your point about us having the 8th highest wage bill. I think of it a different way, which is we have the lowest wage bill for any club competing in Europe.

We have the 6th highest wage bill ever n the figures I looked at only £14 behind Liverpool who are leading everything. And we’ve made losses the past 4 years there are no profits for the shareholders, revenue is pumped into players. 3rd highest net spend over the past 5 years.

The thing that pisses me off the most about the board is that they say they are going to help the squad and everything but the aren’t doing anything all they need is 40 mil to help the squad and could potentially take us to the next level, 40 mil on Ryan Cherki (rw) - 20 mil or less Alexsandro Ribeiro (cb) - 20 mil Douglas Luiz (CDM) - on loan That would solve most of our problems until the players come back that’s all they have to do. Cherki can come into rw and then we can rest deki, Ribeiro a ball playing pacey left sided center back that can rotate with Van De Ven and Douglas Luiz would help with the defensive issues and the physicality problem in the midfield and if he doesn’t work out let him go back and we can get Cardoso that’s all man

I think Ange needs to go but interestingly Newcastle slumped to 15th with a similar injury crisis last year. They then rallied and finished 9th. And then pushed on this year.

Not having European football helps teams with one game a week. It hurts the finances though. Isak is better than anything we have. Their midfield is far better. I think we have two centre backs better than theirs, but our normal full backs can’t defend and Pope is better than Vicario. Howe also can set a team up to defend and hold a lead.

Wrong ! We play with a midfielder defence and we have no DM ! We can not hold a 1-0 ! After halftime we have problems ! Ange can have Alaba in his defence when you have a unmotivate and not working midfield ! Sarr is not a DM and Bergvall too and grays is and will never be a defender ! Lanki score in Istanbul is this not good ? Who scores in Istanbul from other teams ? The youngsters world class but Yang and co must play ! The injurys are why all play fulltime ! Give Kulu out and bring Yang after two goals from Leicester ! What can happend ? Yang can score .To dare is to do ??

@@clemensgeissinger5995he might not be good enough yet, but fresh players can do more than tired ones and anybody coming on 90th minute is not getting chance to get into the game. Our second half was so bad, he should have tried a couple of youngsters from 70 minutes. He played Gray and Bergval when he had to. Spence when he had to. He doesn’t show bravery with youth or substitutions.

We like attacking football at Spurs, whoever takes on the Manager job will win SFA. When Ange came in it was like a breath of fresh air, it's now clear we haven't got quality players to play a high line game. Ange has got his hands tied behind his back, when he leaves he will be successful at another club.

Ange has been backed! Maybe not in this window to reinforce the injuries but in the nearly two years he's been here 330 million has been spent on transfers and players in. He has been happy with all of them. This mess is on him and the playing group. He's been found out at the Prem level. He will get found out in Europe.

Yeah, with the players and budget that Ange has been given he is the only one I've seen at least that I know can beat just about any team. Conte, Nuno and Mou could have gone to a final, but in all of those cases I could not see Spurs win vs any of the top teams. Under Ange the odds are good vs anyone, perhaps bar Arsenal this season. On the other hand with the best starting 11..., I don't see us being much less than 50/50 vs anyone.

Shame as his pace and freshness are useful, but he did at least twice pass straight to a blue shirt. He could have started, Gray in midfield, then Sarr just comes on late if desperate. Instead he starts Sarr and then uses the excuse after the game. Great.

Did things look right even when we had everybody fit. We’ve been awful away for a long time. He does nothing within a game to change things and we continue to play out from the back, even with players who can’t do it. We lose the ball with players out of position and the defending basics are rarely on show. When we constantly leak goals, how on earth can we win at Anfield, the Europa League and Villa, while we have a good record there, we will need to play a lot better than we have been, even with 2 or 3 players back. Brentford loss. Liverpool loss. Villa chance but have to have both CB back and find a lot more.
