It sucks that someone like David Pleat isn’t around these days to uncover some more of these diamonds. The worst part of it all, is that our negative fans would bash the club and say we’re not ambitious for signing the likes of the players he had discovered.

I remember being linked with Bowen when he was at Hull. Didn't think much of it at the time, I must admit, and no different now all. Im more pissed we never pushed for Grealish at Villa before their new buyers came in.

We passed on a few players who have since had time to develop at their respective clubs. If Spurs had bought these players, Spurs fans won't give them enough time to be who they are now. Thank God Kane proved a lot of people wrong when some folks thought he was a one season wonder

Big up Barnaby mate. Thanks for the promising content. To me it’s not a question of whether or not he’s the right man. Let’s ponder back to the end of last Season. Ange foresees the need of a Striker and Don Solanke is his choice (if i’m not mistaken) as we’re atm fighting on all fronts. At least since Kane, we have a recognised Striker signed. Let’s enjoy this phase of a fresh brand new Season not forgetting some bumps along the route to Glory. I welcome the Black Away kit for next Season and we COYS 👏🏻.

Theory can only take you so far- that's how I feel about data driven approach. On a different note whats even funnier that Ted Bohely almost bought Spurs. Everything was pretty much agreed, but Daniel Levey (thank god!) didn't want to give up his role.

Hi Barnaby, watched Kulu vs Estonia this week a couple times , Maddison needs to be replaced as Vice Captain and starting 10, or at least rotated with Maddison as Kulu really is more a provider than a scorer

We are putting all our eggs in the Dominic Solanke basket. The pessimist in me says we are gonna be disappointed. He didn't score against an atrocious Leicester with all the chances he got. First impressions last.

@lewisunderwood524818 күн бұрын
@@ulsteryid7627 Agree it is hindsight but the point is that we did make bids on watkins but wouldnt pay what brentford wanted at the time, we also scouted eze, bowen & toney. The combined total for buying those players would have been less than what we paid for n,dombele. Its operating a bit like brighton and crystal palace do but you dont see them making huge losses on players like levy does. You can see by the clear out how much money levy has wasted .

We're seeing what we didn't see last season. Shots from the edge of the area or outside is a valid tactic since it tends to draw defenders out of the low block and opens up space inside the area. The only trouble is, most have been wayward or blocked. Just a matter of practise. In any case, blocked shots can also be a frequent source of chances created because it can result in deflected goals or rebounds to one of our other forward players.
@theimmaculated648019 күн бұрын
Stats are one thing but when you watch the games those “shots” were tame at best.
@eldante413919 күн бұрын
I think we need to set up Son for the long shots from outside of the area

Solanke only scored 14 last season, if disregarding the five he chalked up against sides with leaky defences, in or around the bottom four. Maybe him, Richie & Johnson might score as many between them, as Haaland does in half a season if we’re lucky 😊
