I think that you need to lie down in a quiet corner for a while Sean; this is the silly season and as you rightly point out there are some silly stories doing the rounds. I would be utterly and completely astonished in Levy would wave good by to the entire transfer team at this time. ABout as plausible as us signing Hummels. The only way to stay sane is to have some faith in Ange as a sensible soul whose stock is high at the club. Give this 4 weeks then let's see where we are.

Not really an issue for me with the recruitment team. They've created their list and done their changes. Anything new that happens in this Euros creates knee-jerk opinions a la Paulinho. Anything established has now been put into Lange's hands and is for work toward negotiations and nothing a scout or statistician does is going to be of any greater use. Take your summer holiday NOW and once the window opens proper and we start negotiating, they'll need to be on hand should our lists completely collapse, but I'm totally fine with this. I don't want them picking players off a small sample of results, but if they're on our list already and they have a good Euros, all its going to change is their value, not their presence on our list.
