Thanks for this vid, just want to say if you have an iPhone 15 or above that has straight usb C you don’t need any adapter, you can just plug the cable you’d normally use for charging straight into the mk2/phone and it works.

If you are using a DJTechTools encoder on the Push Enter button then it won't quite fit under a Decksaver. It will but its right against the top of the encoder and the decksaver isn't sitting quite onto the 404. Any pressure on it will click the enter button. Fine if it's just sitting on your desk as it wouldn't get any pressure on it, but not a setup you'd like to put in a bag or case. I've used felt pads on the underside of the decksaver corners and at the middle to lift the whole thing up a little which gives clearance above the button and decksaver can be pressed down on without even touching the button now.

I have a tonne of deck savers. My favorite one is for the MPC x se! It’s great when I’m not using it (hardly ever) but I can put something on top. Need one for my Tascam 12 for similar reasons. But mostly to ensure I minimise dust in between the faders. That was one of my most favorite purchases. I think the zoom l6 will be a game changer though

Could you put the SP 202 knobs on the SP 404 MKii I love how the 202 knobs look
@spvidz3 ай бұрын
You can yes. Its the same fitting but they do sit quite high
@billfsmusic3 ай бұрын
My SP404MKii draws about 3.7watts through the USB port, 4 watts on startup. So, you can figure out the battery pack you need based on how long you want it to run. 10 hours requires 37 watt hours at 5 volts. Not a huge pack, and better than burning AA batteries.
@spvidz3 ай бұрын
I know some people use rechargeable AAs, it cuts down on what you have to take out but I don't know if they are able to last any longer than 2hrs. I looked into using them and they were quite expensive too. I think overall the powerbank is the best bet. Thanks a lot for the info too 👊
@TheChameleon20083 ай бұрын
Only problem you will get with a 1TB card or even a 256Gb full of samples will take some time to load up when you first want to load a sample. Can take up to 40 seconds.

Great video 👌 When you use the lightning to usb adapter to sample from your phone, can you still change the output volume from the iphone ? I have an adapter where I can sample, but as soon as I plug it in I can`t control the output level of the iphone anymore. The input on the sp 404 mk2 ext in turns red. Do you have a link for the one you are using ?
@spvidz2 ай бұрын
Mine is the same. The volume on the iPhone doesn’t do anything. I have to normalise most of my samples from My iPhone
@Maex_well2 ай бұрын
@@spvidz thx for the info. In my case the volume was too loud (distorted) so I am currently using lightning to mini jack female to record from my phone in the sp. Does this make any diffenrence? Your videos helped a lot to get in the sp workflow. really appreciate your content. greets

I’ve ordered knobs from DJ Techtools before and didn’t have an issue, but the ones I ordered for my SP are terrible! They all sit at different heights and 2 fall right off if I hold the machine upside down. I must have gotten some faulty knobs.
