Only deference between “phono” & “RCA” is phonograph uses RCA connectors with a ground line.

Ah! Good stuff man thanks for the info 👊

And a Phono needs a preamp to provide sound while a line level signal needs no preamp CD and Magnetic tape uses line level while turntables use phono level

Phono usually means the RCA inputs are connected to a phono preamplifier otherwise it will say line in or tape in/out (meant for tape machine recording)
@daniel_dumile3 ай бұрын
Line meaning line level which is the quieter audio (how it transits in the device) that hasn’t been amplified for speakers/headphones/turntables/mics etc BTW You can use line level outputs and amp it via the mic preamps on an audio interface to color sound. The one on your Behringer one is quiet bassy and meaty, but not super clear

Sick bro! Feelin that hardware setup sound. I think I'm gonna have to get a macbook pro again to use my plugins. But today i tried to link my tracker mini to sp but relaised i need midi connectors still will be interesting to see how crunchy and distorted i can get my beat sounding. What i dont get is if you know what would albelton live be like when you used mpc one plus as a controller?
@spvidz3 ай бұрын
Not sure on that one specifically. I use the SP404-MK2. Feels nice but you can only use the pads to trigger samples and that’s it really

@spvidzАй бұрын
A guy on instagram sent them me called freshcut faders
@grillmeisterflash3 ай бұрын
How did you fit that red knob on your 404? Is it the same size as the four upper knobs?
@spvidz3 ай бұрын
Its thinner but has the same fitting in the middle.

Don’t know if you have one, a patchbay *might* work wonders in your setup . Most importantly they save wear and tear on i/o’s
@spvidz24 күн бұрын
I'm hoping to add some stuff like that to the studio next year. My set-up has been quite basic for a while. Thanks for the reminder!
@blkgostnone409224 күн бұрын
All day bro! Make sure the bay has a “through” feature Heads up….not every DAW allows you monitor the roundtrip through the hardware live. Pro-Tools (adat), Studio 1 (pipeline), and Reaper (ReaInsert) amongst a few others allow this. I got hung up on that for almost a week before I figured it out. Love the videos. I still have and use my 202 I got in 98’. It was my first sampler. Babied that thing the buttons aren’t even yellowing yet 😂

Dope beat. Kind of weirdly reminds me of a slowed down version of the Extra P remix of Resurrection by Common. I tend to alternate between Clean Boost and Saturation on the heat. Dig both...
@spvidz3 ай бұрын
Thanks man! I've only tried saturation a handful of times, I'll have to explore that a bit more!

Cool set up. You lost me at "from SP404 to record on my phone" though. I thought you we're going to say from SP404 back to your daw to record the final "master". What did I miss?
@spvidz3 ай бұрын
I went USB into my phone from the SP and just used voice notes. If I wasn’t making a video I would just record to my SP404-MK2 and then grab the wav files from there 👍
