Would you ever test CAT6A/7/8 at longer lengths and see how they perform?

Do you have plans to test out the TP Link ER8411? I have it right now but have issues with inconsistent up and downloads speeds. I'd be curious to get your 2 cents!
@SPXLabs2 жыл бұрын
Nope. Feel free to hit up TP Link on my behalf and ask them to send me one. Lol

Did you fix it?

Nicely done! I see you got more comfy with iperf ;-) A really hard test would be tiny packets at close to 10 gig w/o loss, eg creating 20 Mpps ("Million packets per second") with 500 bits each (equals 10gig) ... that is much harder to achieve consistently! Very possible though that your server can't keep up with so many IRQs per sec

Should I be using one of these on my UDM Pro? I currently have the modem connected to Port #9 on the UDM Pro. Instead of having the modem plugged into Port 9 should I use this FS module in Port #10 and will I see any improvements?
@SPXLabs2 жыл бұрын
You could use an FS one, just make sure it supports 1, 2.5, 5, and 10G. You know just in case. But for my UDMP I bought some weird WiiTech module on a recommendation from someone. It works well enough. For now. It’s brand new to me so not sure if it’s good quality or not. I got more Internet Bandwidth out of my AT&T Gigabit Fiber Plan with this SFP+ Module in my UDM Pro kzbin.info/www/bejne/pH6TmHmwebpsnNE

@@SPXLabs Yes I saw you video where you showed you got better uploads speeds. I have Spectrum and was checking to see if this might improve my upload speeds or just have the UDMPRO work more efficiently . So would you recommend to use the WiiTech module or the FS module? I see how the FS module is working for your TP Link switches and it might be very good for that. So I hope their is no conflict of interest supporting the WiiTech for the UDMPRO, since these are two different hardware items.
@SPXLabs2 жыл бұрын
Well the reason I mention it is because I tested with WiiTek and I know it works. I haven't tried with FS. FS could work just fine. I still recommend FS, like when you can or if you can afford it. But like everything you should always consider other brands before buy anything. I have FS in my ubiquiti stuff and it works great, also works great in TP Link so far. My interests are in making sure you guys can make more informed buying decisions and less about hocking tech.

Hello i just bought some sfp+ transceivers for the same switch and noticed that I only get half of the upload speed when I use them. Do you lnow of there is a reason for that? Download speed is fine.
@SPXLabs Жыл бұрын
Try turning off auto negotiation and manually setting the link speed to 10000mbps. If that doesn’t work then I have no idea what your upload would be half the speed.
