I believe that the P2P servers that the app connects to are no longer operational. So unless the servers are reinstated, you will not be able to remotely connect to your cameras with the app.

The camera is unsupported since August/2019. So the app has been removed from the Google/Apple stores. There is nowhere else to get it for Apple, but you can still get it from here for Android: apkfab.com/developer/gang.zhang Since the app is unsupported, there is no P2P server to connect to anymore. That means you cannot view your camera from outside your wifi area. Get a refund if you recently purchased your camera!

I do not think there is a limit. I have 5 without any problem. The app allows you to view live video of 4 at the same time by dividing the screen into 4 quadrants. Then you can view any one of them with a full screen

The camera has two recording modes. Apparently, you are using the mode that is turned on from the "Live Video" screen and stores the video on your phone. Once you exit the screen, the recording stops. This mode is intended to capture things spontaneously at your discretion. The other mode of recording stores the video on the SD card in the camera -- not on the storage of your phone. It allows you to record upon motion detection or on a given schedule such as all-day or during certain hours. This is the feature you are looking for. To access it, select "Advance Config" (or "Device Settings" on Apple). From there select "SDCard Config" to configure the recording schedule. Then later, select "Alarm Config" for additional options.

Yes, it must be connected to a wifi network if the original network is out of range. Without a wifi connection, it cannot transmit over the internet. Likewise, with the P2P servers out of commission since Aug/2019, the video can longer be viewed remotely anymore. So, do not buy this camera!

I guess you missed my posts for the last 6 months. The reason why you cannot make remote connections is because the P2P servers have not been operational since Aug/2019. They came back up for a few weeks in November, but have been down after that. The apps that run from your phone have been taken down from the Google/Apple Play stores. So, it would seem that the camera is no longer supported by anyone. If you bought your camera recently, get yourself a refund while you can (especially if you paid with Paypal). As a workaround, if your PC is on the same network as your camera, you can access your PC remotely with remote desktop software (such as Teamviewer or Google Remote Desktop) and view your camera from your PC's browser.

I do not have this camera, but I have a similar one that uses the same app. So maybe what I tell you will work for your camera. The only MAC address that I found (labeled WiFi MAC) is through the web version of IP Cam, but you will need to know the IP address of the camera which you can only obtain from the smart phone app. Except for the last digit, the IP address should be the same as mine: 192.168.1.3. If not, just go sequentially through all the numbers. Hopefully yours is nearby and not near the 100 range. Once you have the IP address, type it into the address bar of your browser (I use Firefox and Chrome). When it prompts you for a user id and password, use "admin" for the user id and leave the password blank. The next screen will ask you to select a browser. Choose the second one listed, "Non-IE Web Browsers" On the next screen there is a pane of camera control icons. Click the gear wheel on the bottom (or at the top if it's there instead). The next screen should show the WiFi MAC address. If it does not, select "System > About" from the left margin. If the text in the left margin is in Chinese, exit the screen and try again or try a different browser.

Videos that you manually record from your phone are under "record" from the bottom of the main screen. From there you will have to choose a source camera (if you have more than one) by tapping on the funnel icon at the top right corner. Then you will have to tap on the pull-down menu to choose the type of recording. "Local" are the recordings that you manually initiated from your phone and stored there. "Remote SD Card" are the recordings that are created by the alarm (I.e. motion detection or "All Day") and stored on the camera's SD card (not on the phone). Note that the Apple version of the app displays icons instead of words for some of these options.

Go to the Google Play store and find other apps written by the same programmer. They are all virtually identical. So do a search for "Zhang Gang". In addition to iminicam, two other apps that work for me are MUcam and P2PLIveCam. Last year HDminicam stopped accepting my UID.

How long the battery lasts in case of leaving from house for a long period?

The intent of the battery is to serve as a backup in case of a power failure. You should run the device from an electrical outlet. But in answer to your question, the battery should last 2-3 of hours. However, I noticed with my camera, it is more difficult to connect when running from the battery; the camera goes off line. Once power is restored, the camera seems to work normally. I have not investigated this issue deeply because I have little need to run from the battery.

Yes, any number of of phones should be able to connect to the same camera. A more common question is how many cameras can the phone app connect to. The app can display up to 4 cameras simultaneously in a matrix, but can probably connect to more at the same time. I read 10 but I have no way to test that claim.

Do not confuse "reset" with "reboot." You need to gently press the reset button with a pin for 5 seconds. This is not the same as sliding the power button off and on, which simply reboots the camera. Do not press the rest button too hard or you may dislodge it from its circuit board.

You should only reset once so that you can connect your camera to your wifi network. Once you establish a connection, you do not need to reset again. If you do, you will have to reconfigure all the settings again including the password and the scheduling of when the camera records. That said, a reboot is not a reset. So you can reboot as many times as you like without losing any of your settings.

The camera needs an SD card to save anything it records. Use at least a class 10 8 gb card. Most cards are at least class 10, but some may be a lower (slower) class.

Yes, it should be able to connect from anywhere in the world. When you are in the house, your smart phone and camera are communicating only through wifi. When you are away from home, there is a bit more communication hopping going on. Your smart phone communicates through the internet to handshake with your modem. Your modem passes the information to your router and the camera communicates with the router through a wifi signal. And who knows what else is going on. As a test, I would position the camera next to the router to determine if your smart phone can connect to the camera. There, the wifi signal would be strongest for the camera to communicate with the router.

Lacey, I had a similar problem with my mom's camera who lives 600km away. My smart phone could not connect to her camera. I had her reboot the camera and that worked for a few minutes. Then I had the camera rebooted by its switch. That worked for a few months. Now it's off-line again and there is nobody there to get it going again. Anyway, the only thing that I can suggest is to reboot the camera a few times. If that does not work, try doing a complete reset by holding down the button in the pinhole. (BTW, my mom's camera is not the same as the one in the video, but it is similar. My own personal camera which is the same as my mom's has never given me any connection problems... yet) Other than that, I am out of options. Let me know if you find a solution.

Some models allow you to turn off the clock display. From the top of the "Live Video" screen there is a ribbon of controls (such as brightness and contrast). One of the controls is shaped like a "T". If it is present, the display can be turned off by touching it.

That's actually good news because when there are buttons you must set the time manually (usually). But when there are no buttons, the time is obtained automatically from the internet. You just need to set the camera to your time zone.

From the app, click on "Live Video" at the bottom of the screen. Then click on the name of your camera. If you want to watch continuously from the office, you may prefer to use the PC app (IP Camera) so you can watch the video from your larger PC screen instead. Connecting from someone's home wifi is more reliable. I do not think there is a limit as to how many cameras you can connect to. In fact the phone app provides a grid of 4 quadrants on your screen where you can simultaneously watch the live video of up to 4 cameras. I have 5 cameras connected without any problem. Of course, you can use the entire screen to watch the live video of any single camera. Moreover, the PC app can divide the screen in various formats, the largest being 36 quadrants for 36 cameras! To connect a second camera to your phone, simply add it the exact same way you added the first camera. You may want to give each camera a name on the app so that you know which camera you are looking at.

@@alexarteaga8245, you cannot connect to your camera until the reboot process completes. If it does not complete, reboot the camera using the on/off switch in the rear. Exit the app (better still, reboot your phone), so that the app does not mistakenly think that the camera is rebooting. If you still have problem, try resetting the camera instead, by pushing the button near the on/off switch with a pin. Exit the app (or reboot your phone) and the go into the app again. Since you did a camera "reset," you will have to configure the camera again exactly as you did when you bought it out of the box.

You need to provide more information. First, connect your phone to the camera's wifi signal. If the camera's wifi signal is not listed on the phone's screen, reset the camera by gently pressing the reset button with a pin for 5 seconds. Do not press too hard or you may dislodge the button from its circuit board. Once you are connected, go into the app's "Advanced Config" (or "Device Settings" on Apple) and select "WIFI Config" from the menu list. Then from the pull down menu, connect the camera to your home wifi using your home wifi password. Now you can disconnect your phone from the camera's wifi signal and reconnect it back to your home wifi signal. Since both your camera and phone are now connected to your home wifi, they should both be able to communicate with one another, even after you leave your home.

It looks like a typical clock. I would not think anyone would give it a second glance were they to walk in the room.Only the time shows, in digital form of course.The numbers are blue. I see no other lights when it is connected. I just received mine today and literally just set it up an hour ago! So far pleased with the purchase. I will mention that the battery life is only 30-40 mins., so you pretty much have to leave it plugged in unless you want to just set it somewhere for that short period. I will say one thing, I took a photo of the clock close-up, and in the photo I can see 6 little faint green lights which I guess are the cameras. These cannot be seen with the naked eye however. Even so I don't think anyone would particularly notice this in a photo unless they were specifically looking for it and knew what it was. Also don't think it would show up in a photo taken from a regular distance. Hope this helps.

If it is no connected, your smart phone has no way to communicate with the camera to configure it. Here is how to connect to it: First, connect your phone to the camera's wifi signal. If the camera's wifi signal is not listed on the phone's screen, reset the camera by gently pressing the reset button with a pin for 5 seconds. Do not press too hard or you may dislodge the button from its circuit board. Once you are connected, go into the app's "Advanced Config" (or "Device Settings" on Apple) and select "WIFI Config" from the menu list. Then from the pull down menu, connect the camera to your home wifi using your home wifi password. Now you can disconnect your phone from the camera's wifi signal and reconnect it back to your home wifi signal. Since both your camera and phone are now connected to your home wifi, they should both be able to communicate with one another, even after you leave your home.

@@alexarteaga8245, I have 5 cameras connected. I don't think there is any limit of how many connections you can have, but you can only view up to 4 at the same time. Normally however, you would probably watch the live video of one camera at a time since your phone screen is rather small to watch more than one simultaneously.

The camera is unsupported since August/2019. So the app has been removed from the Google/Apple stores. There is nowhere else to get it for Apple, but you can still get it from here for Android: apkfab.com/developer/gang.zhang Since the app is unsupported, there is no P2P server to connect to anymore. That means you cannot view your camera from outside your wifi area. Get a refund if you recently purchased your camera!
