Imagine if they were to make a game of Spy Kids 3-D for consoles back in the day, PS2/Gamecube to be exact. It would be a 3D beat em' up with 7 levels, and giant mech fights at the end of some levels. The player can play as either Juni Cortez, or the four beta testers, Francis, Arnold, Demetra and Rez, each with stats for attack power, defense, speed and martial skill. Carmen Cortez is a secret character, she is unlocked after playing through the game and collecting all seven artifacts. It would have been developed by Climax Studios and published by TDK Mediactive. It would have been a carbon copy of another game Climax developed, Power Rangers Time Force for the PS1, but with some new features, such as extra mini-games including the Energy Staff fights, Lava Surfing and Mega Race seen from the movie.

Nah, the game would go beat by beat like the movie. It would be in the style of X-Men Legends, where you control Juni in the beginning, with Francis, Rez and Arnold in the way. First boss fight would be against Demetra in the arena in giant robot suits as a Mortal Kombat style matchup. After that she'll follow you, but you can't control her since she's the AI. He would have to find an object to send him back to the "Earth" which sends him into Level 2. There, the race commences. The transitions between the levels are in cutscenes with little to no separation between and a pop up each time you get to a new segment telling you the controls of the next area. The race is gonna be crazy, so give it the same controls as Mario Kart, but just the one track shown in the movie. You can only progress by winning. This is the part where a cutscene would transition to Level 3, and after that Francis, Arnold and Rez will in fact be allowed to be controlled as, however Demetra will not. Level 3 will be where the fight between Juni and Arnold is, and instead of having you need to beat him like the Arena level, you have to stall for time until Demetra tags you out and takes the L. Level 4 is where you run into Carmen. That's where she takes over as "the leader" and the gang finds their way to the lava river. They then have a lava surfing segment similar in control to Tony Hawk Pro Skater. You could only progress by surviving until the end, where the cutscene knocks you all down and into the lava. Then you enter Level 5 and have to survive until Rez outsmarts the Toymaker, and we find Demetra holding the exit open. Juni will be confused, and Carmen is gonna explain she's just a program. And then the final fight happens outside the game, where you now can control Juni, Carmen, or their parents as they each try to bust into the giant robot. Eventually, they find the Toymaker in the brain, and talk him out like in the movie, but a bit smarter so they keep Grandpa out of it. The mechanics of this level is similar to Assassin's Creed, having everyone climbing and jumping on the robot instead of using spy stuff to just fly in. After completing the game, you can unlock a second playthrough where you can go through the "Game Over" game levels in their entirety as it was designed.

It is a horrible game though... Mega Mission at least had Carmen and Juni facetiming the player and talking to them. Way more nostalgic than this Juni imposter and crap. This sucks way more

For a 2003 game this looks awful, easily one of the worst looking games i ever seen, even if all of the game looked like the cutscenes. Absolutely agreed! As a web game it would have been acceptable, or as a free item with like a box of Kellogg's. But this was a full game that people actually paid real money for is my understanding :(
