Just installed this on my 2023 900 sport. It takes some finagling but it works perfectly and there's plenty of space between the tire. The only downside is you have to remove the rear tire an unbolt the shock from the other side

I know you put the tape on the wrench to hold the nut. Was it still hard to get it on? How hard was it to get the wrench in place? On a scale of 1 to 5 how hard was the modification?

A few questions since I can't find customer reviews anywhere. 1. Does this lift raise the drivers seat making it a bit more of a stretch to get on? 2. Does it affect in any way the operation/handling of the bike? 3. Is it a better option than Can-Am's 2 up rear spring? Replies would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It will raise the seat up only about half an inch since it raises more towards the back and pivots on the front wheels it doesn't actually lift the seat up 3 in. If that makes sense. The bike still handles good. If you're looking for better handling options go with the steering stabilizer kit. We carry those on our website as well. That would be the biggest improvement to the handling. The two up spring can still allow the bike to bottom out against the fender in the rear. The two up spring is not going to lift the bike at all it's just a stiffer spring. It allows for about another 50 to 80 lb of weight to be put on the bike.

@@BLRTUNING Thanks Bill, your response helps. Tell me if you can find any fault with my thinking on the following. Since I have a SpyderExtra 3 piece luggage system, it seems to me with the added weight plus luggage and plus my passenger I'm better off going with the shock lift than spending money on the 2 up spring. I have a new end links and sway bar which has already improved handling so I don't think I need the steering damper system as I'm on mostly smooth roads. Thanks again.

Yes I believe your statement is correct. If you're running the three-piece luggage system and putting some weight back there the suspension is obviously going to sag so adding the lift kit will help maintain a better ride height. If it was my bike that's what I would do. Then after doing that if you feel like you need a stiffer shock in the back maybe go with two up spring or add elka suspension to the rear. The lift kit will still work with the Elka suspension. Nope the Elka suspension has been the same the entire time since day one. It was adjusted for us right out of the box when we ordered it directly through Elka and I've never made any adjustments

Why cant we use it on the sport?

On the 22 and 23 sport model and rally model they switched to a different shock. The shock on the rear is a little bit longer. This will cause the shock at the bottom to rub the tire when there is nobody sitting on the bike. Once somebody is sitting on the bike it won't rub anymore. It just needs a little bit of weight applied. The manufacturer says it will not work with the 22 sport or 22 rally model or the new 23 models. However we have had customers that have had it work successfully with those models. So purchase at your own risk. If you're buying it through us and you're putting it on one of those models that says that it is not for. We will not issue a refund or return the item. You are purchasing it at your own risk understanding that it may not fit your bike. If you have further questions please get a hold of the manufacturer. We are just a distributor for this product.

I have the stock Rally shock. No matter what setting, there is a clunk when I hit bumps. Does anyone know how to fix this clunk?

Hard to say without seeing the bike in person. Definitely look back there and make sure all the bolts are tightened to torque spec

Another question is this going to make my rear shock on my rally non adjustable. On the their web site they said it has to be adjusted almost all the way down 3/8 of thread showing. To me that's kind of defeating the purpose putting this on a my rally I want to be able to adjust the shock.

Your rally suspension will still be adjustable. This will not fit the 22 model rally or 22 model sport. If you have a 19, 20, or 21 it will fit. Your suspension will still be adjustable you just need to soften up the suspension so you have enough room to get the lift kit installed. After installation you can then adjust your suspension to how you like it. Also we do have these available on our website. @@MegaRassal it's because on the 22 Sport and rally model the shock is actually longer and the a-arm will not drop down that far. I cannot confirm whether or not it will work with your Fox racing shocks. We do have the lift kits in stock if you decide to order one from us. Not really. If you seen the machinery that cost thousands of dollars to make these. If you had to buy that machinery out of your own pocket. I'm sure you'd reconsider what "way too much money" is... Expensive parts are definitely not for everybody though. Is this an expensive part yes absolutely. Is it overpriced... no not at all.. you getting the highest quality part that you can possibly get your hands on. You're getting it from a reputable company who is very well known for getting things out on time and making sure you get what you actually ordered and not get ripped off. You're also getting something that has been tried and tested and make sure that the product works. Imagine paying a little bit less for a product that might fall apart over time. Like I said is it expensive yes is it overpriced absolutely not. Expensive parts are not for everyone

@@BLRTUNING I disagree with it not being overpriced, by a lot. Their machines aren't exclusively for making these. Something like this takes very little R&D. I'm sure in short order someone else will put out a lift/spacer for at least 50% less, and I'm talking the $139 price from Slingmods, and it'll be made of the same material and wouldn't be subject to fall apart no more than this one. The only reason it's priced so ridiculously is because it's the only game in town right now. If I wasn't retired and still had access to the equipment I'd have my own already. It's not rocket science.
