I have had a set of the small Spyderco throwers for about a year and really don't have anything bad to say about them. I learned throwing with leaf bladed knives (Muela Pro Thrower), which was also discontinued. It had some flaws but I liked the overall design. Spyderco knives were the next logical step. With the Spyderco throwers you could immediately tell were created by a knife thrower, just by the design. The chamfered edges around the handle and indexing holes were (and still are) very unique to these knives. They help to limit splintering when the knives collide and they are very comfortable to hold and throw. I wish more throwing knife makers would do this. I wasn't a fan of the flared hilt design on the small throwers because they prevented full palm no-spin throwing grips. I know, these are not designed for no-spin throwing, but I actually learned no-spin throwing with this knife because it forced me to use a low grip and not use active pushing with index finger. Which also led me into bo-shuriken and many other paths of knife throwing. Kinda sad to see these are being discontinued.

just as well they stopped production. It's not a good thrower. The material is substandard and they will break. Also they nick extremely easy and you risk cutting yourself. Harold isn't German, he is Canadian!
