I picked up one of these off Amazon for around $65. Never been much of a "knife guy" but it's pretty cool owning one because they're of such quality.

Spyderco and 154cm?! wow... thats awesome. I had a friend tell me that 154cm was a bad blade steel, but i don't know what he's talking about. I have it on my Griptilian and iit is on of my faves. Thanks for posting!

From what I see on Blade Forums in the Spyderco subforum majority likes Tip Up carry. Manix 2 is fairly talked about there as well ;] Great review can't wait to add one to the collection.

Yeah I like this format better too. I'll do what I can to do some cut tests. I'll incorporate them into sharpening vids which I've been putting off for months now.

Ah good to know! I'd love to at least handle a S90V one to compare. Maybe I'll end up getting the blue one after all, or wait for whichever comes after that.

Yes many Spydie guys like tip up including myself, some find it scary. I need to check out the convo on it I really haven't seen much.

Yeah I like it when Spyderco steps out of the box. I think it has a lot to do with their Mule testing with diff steels, even though 154CM wasn't one of them bc everyone is familiar with it. I think S30V has gotten too expensive to be used in certain price points. 154CM is an excellent stainless steel, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
