I killed my PM2 tip on the ken onion work sharp with the normal angle guides because I couldn’t work it out with one hand, I bought the blade grind attachment and now it’s working perfectly! So you did everything right with buying the attachment. ;) But generally I use nowadays more a ceramic rod to keep nicks out and strop knives to keep them really sharp. I sadly discovered stropping relatively late in my knives career so a good tip buy yourself a strop with compound as fast as possible. I really can recommend the Bark River black and white compound and any kind of strop, even a self build one out of an old leather belt is totally adequate. Have a really nice day and enjoy your life!

I was pumped to see a new RUGD video in my feed this morning!! Great content, bro. I know who i'm gonna ask to sharpen my cutlery going forward LOL! I feel your pain a bit tho - tried (stupidly) a few months ago to sharpen my digi cam/DLC PM2 on a stone w/ oil and, yeeaaahh, i had to send it back to Golden, CO because i messed it all up. But they did a GREAT job bringing it back to a factory edge. That's one of many reasons why i love Spyderco. I'll be shocked if anything replaces my PM2 or Para3 as my edc anytime soon. Altho I did recently get some time to check out an Ontario Rat 1 in D2 steel and that thing is a TANK and came w/ a great factory edge!! For $42.50 shipped it's hard to go wrong for a cheap edc or beater knife. Also, Ontario is made in Franklinville, NY - not far from Olean where Kabars are made - never knew that!

You did the same thing we’ve all done when we “ruined” our first expensive knife. You panicked. It’s a terrible feeling in the pit of your stomach. Whether a broken tip, a scratched blade/finish, or god forbid... you lost it. Anybody that says that they didn’t react in the same way, is lying. I appreciate you revisiting this again. I’m definitely a spyderco fanboy so it hurt a little to watch the first one. Awesome job! Keep it up.

Thanks man. Ya, lesson learned. Pick the right knife for the task and that pm2 is a great slicer. Not the best screw driver 😂.

Haha, thanks for the support man. We'll get some more gun vids in the mix. Haven't been able to do much shooting lately but I can definitely get some tabletop and first impressions vids kicked out.
