Good taste. M4 and k390 are two of my favorite steels.

After carrying the leafjumper i think i prefer the lightweight frn over the heavy g10. The frn on the leafjumper is super rounded off and soft where the g10 on my pm2 is way more squared off and sharp. Stoked for the update on the lil temperance 3!

I bought the s35 version and put titanium scales on it, but I would prefer m4 as well. I may pick one up. Very tempting

I'm torn between Resilience in S35VN and this one )))
@nicholasedwardbehindtheedg2343Ай бұрын
@@artiombeknazaryan7542 i like the resilience as well! Great size. But in my opinion m4 steel is the easy tie breaker for me.

so what is the verdict on Chinese M4? Midway has them for 115 and I am seriously tempted 😁
@nicholasedwardbehindtheedg23432 ай бұрын
@@stephenjohnson3084 I haven't had it Rockwell tested but it performed admirably. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between it and Golden Colorado m4.

Now that you've had it for a while how do you think the Chinese factory did on the heat treat? Thanks!
@nicholasedwardbehindtheedg23434 ай бұрын
So far so good! I may send it out for Rockwell testing!

Since it’s made in China, do ya think the hardness is where it’s supposed to be since it’s still Spyderco…or ya think it’s like all other Chinese HRC? Love Golden Spyderco’s and wud love to buy this, but man I’m worried bout that Chinese M4 hardness. Needs to be AT LEAST 63.
@nicholasedwardbehindtheedg23438 ай бұрын
im going to put it through the paces at work and update after a weeks worth of real world use, im curious how well its treated as well
@timtim45258 ай бұрын
Spyderco owner said; they have the ovens and know how to heat treat. His China spyderco factory.

What does 'all other Chinese HRC' mean? Are you aware of We Knives, Reate, Liong Mah, etc. that OEM for brands like GiantMouse and Jack Wolf Knives? They make $300+ high quality blades that could teach the Italians a thing or two about heat treatment. I'm fairly certain 90% of people online just say things that they heard others say, the guy who made this video included. But then again he's 'not impressed with S35VN' so you know, that says it all...

What does burnt and wonky mean?
@nicholasedwardbehindtheedg234314 күн бұрын
@@mattblack133 burnt is over pressure when grinding which makes it a little brittle on the surface, which after sharpening goes away. Wonky means it's wavy and uneven. I'm from Kentucky, sometimes I forget not everyone is going to understand what I'm saying.

@nicholasedwardbehindtheedg2343 ahhhhh I see. Thanks for clarifying 👍. And your adjectives were good... I just couldn't make the association over to metal. Cheers. Keep up the good work.
