When I was a kid, my dad would play through this game and give me the spare controller to "play" as Sparx. We didn't have the first one (I don't know why), but we spent a lot of time together with this, and it was one of my favorite games growing up. When my parents divorced, my main source of comfort in the days after my dad moved out was trying to speedrun through it in one sitting, as our memory card was busted. This remaster reminds me of all the magic I felt when playing these games for the first time, and it's a huge source of comfort to be playing it again as I'm getting ready to move into my first house.

Turns out, as a kid, it was the last missing piece of the game for me. I spent countless hours watching this spot and trying to reach it from the wall, failing and dying all the time. I think I spent months just wandering about, frustrated by this enigma and wondering how I could get there and get the last gems and the last orb. I was just doing missions all over again to entertain myself because .. well the game is so good anyway. I think I even started the game again a few times to enjoy, but still missing that last achievement. The day I found the secret spot I was so thrilled. Then I got to the top of the castle, and saw that platform in the horizon ... then I knew this was it. Thanks for the beautiful childhood memory.

Hurricos used to be the scariest level my younger self had to clear. The loud alarm of the robots the moment they see you, the lightning stones sidequest with the Gear Grinders and how they laughed, creeped around like some horror game ghosts and the way they pranced with lightning stone in hand... It's still amazing, the developers did a great job with the designs of the superpowers, changing the color in wings, horns, and chest but keeping the purple on his body with only a few changes in the back. I like them all, but still, I just simply love that metallic effect. :)

I still remember reading an article about the return of platforming games after the success of the Ratchet and Clank remake on the PS4. This gave me hope that more games would follow this trend and was crossing my fingers for Spyro and Crash getting a similar treatment. Fast forward 2 years later, here I am with a copy of the N.Sane Trilogy and Reignited Trilogy. I am so happy.

Thank you for posting this (and the first one). I'm using it to play through the levels in the same order as you (and for cheating by watching you complete the flying levels). Once you enter a world I pause, spend an hour playing through the level, and then watch you complete it in 10 minutes!

@ProsafiaGaming Man you really have to *love* the nostalgia of having to replay Spyro, Spyro 2: Riptos Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon from your old Play Station (PS) but this time reliving it in Spyro: Reignited Trilogy on PS4. Also would this be too much ask for you, but could you try to make another video of having to find inaccessible levels that you weren't supposed to be in and maybe the ones where they are levels that weren't fully added in because of last development by the creators? And maybe glitches where you can skip certain levels as well? Like the one in Glimmer where you can skip paying Money-bags to cross the bridge or even access to the flying power-up without paying Money-bags to climb up walls. And for those who don't know what I'm talking about just search up Spyro glitches for Play Station and you will see what I'm talking about (Not Spyro: Reignited Trilogy glitches) and you will see the old videos, I just hope some of them are still possible in Spyro: Reignited Trilogy.

Yeah, the sound effects aren't the same because the original sound library was lost. They made this game by literally building software that calculates the pixels, speed, movement etc. of the original game, and then playing the game so they can record the information. This game was built based on that data. The sounds and I believe the music too were entirely recreated/re-recorded with the closest approximation to the original. They even got the original voice actors back, where possible. The originals were made around 20 years ago though, so they're not going to get everything exactly the same, but they did a very good job.

I remember despising money bags so much that I'd actively look for ways to get out of paying him. In the first level in the original version I figured out a high-jump trick that got me over the bridge area without paying, and also that I could use the flying powerup out where you light the exterior gem lamps to fly back inside and, with proper timing, just barely make it up above the ladder to the second flying powerup long before learning to climb, though its a bit tricky to do at first. Turns out the second trick is pretty well known but at the time I felt rather proud of myself.

I played the original Spyro 2 game YEARS ago, and things were a WHOLE LOT different between that and the remastered game! One of them was when you feed the fishes to the giant idol head, you only had to guess on which fish was okay to feed, which were red and yellow! Now they have a display on which fishes to feed in this version!

First puzzle in Idol Springs: Friggin’ frustrating. Second puzzle: Quite a breeze. Last puzzle: I got SO lucky. (To be honest, now it actually was more obvious than I thought first time I completed it.)

I didn't know they made a remake. I need to buy it or I will never feel happy again. Omg I used to play this game all the time. But I couldn't save for some reason so I always had to leave my ps turned on over night and sometimes my mom would turn it off and then I had to play the entire game again but I didn't even complain. Ahhhhh great memories
