Honestly I'm fine with Spyro's seemingly conflicting lines about "falling victim to the plague of love" and still responding to Elora's hints of affection towards him. People can and often do have a conflict between their outer tough exterior that they put on for others while still feeling different/conflicted on the inside. We can see this as Spyro having a bit of cognitive dissonance over feeling attached towards someone, in contrast with the hero he wants to be.

3:11 in defense of Bianca / the designers: she is a bunny. Bunnies have claws but they're mainly for digging. They may have given her claws as a furry artist, species accurate type of thing. Tbh i didnt notice them before and now I'm gonna look out for em

This whole thing has a very distinct tone that the originals were the ideal and anything that doesn't lign up with them is a floor. I think some of that may be valid, however others feel a bit strange. There really is no reason for Jague to be the thing that scares Spyro, unless he's afraid of clowns, which is understandable but never expressed anywhere else, and his mean spirited attitude doesn't really fit with the overall tone, and if the protagonist isn't interested in what's happenning, why should the player be? You had the opposite opinion of Hunter because you disliked the original, so it seems like just finding things to support your subjective opinion, and that's fine, but I'm not sure it's reasonable to critisize the actors for not aligning with how you think something aught to be. Exceptions are when voice acting is just bad like Christina Ricci in any intense moment during DoTD. Perhaps I'm misreading it, but to me it does feel like you believe the portrayals being different to how you like is a mistake the actors aught to correct.

The line deliveries being off is not the fault of the VAs, nor is it necessarily a mistake to be corrected. It is something, however, for directors to take notice of so they can make sure the VAs are conveying the proper emotions in those important moments.

@MiharuTheFox But they may have been conveying the correct emotions from what the creators visions were, that may differ from the original. It's also possible some of the original deliveries were due to the mistakes of those voice directors, even more likely since those were old games with smaller budgets.

That's what I said, the voice directors should take notice of the way certain lines are said if they are important to the character arc, like Bianca's line in Evening Lake. Everything else is either just a different take or interpretation of the situation.

Of course it is, I just happen to think that particular line in Bianca's case was very important to her arc and needed to be delivered a certain way.
