Thank you Nigel! Ilve had a soft spot for SG ever since I heard Morning Dance back in the day.

Great video! I am very interested in making audio videos like this, but would not even know where to start! What program do you use, and can you provide any advice for a true beginner? Many thanks!

You'll see I list the software in the video description. Put simply you need a video editor and a sound editor. I record the sound separately, direct from the phono amp then put this under the video clips suitably sync'd up. The sound recorded by the camera is only used for this syncing and then discarded. With Final Cut Pro I shoot multiple angles then combine these into a "multicam" clip (sync'd using the camera sound) which when used in the "project" view allows easy switching between views. But you don't need to do this. Simple software allowing a separate audio track to go under a video clip will still give a good result. I use a micro four thirds camera - for both the video clips and photography of the album cover, label etc. but you could just a phone camera instead. The advantage of using a decent camera which allows shooting in 4K is that if you final video is output as 1080p HD (as mine are) you have a 100% digital zoom available with no loss of quality - 4K scaled to 1080 means a scale of just 50% of the video clip. I hope this helps a bit, and good luck if you decide to give it a go.

@@MusicAndVinyl Thanks for the reply Bob. I have a Zoom Q2n4k, that I can do video/audio together in 4k. But the whole video is unmoving for the duration. Boring, and I’d love to use stills, as well as several other video clips of my setup, inserted at various times. I will look at the program you use, and see if I can use it. Thank you!!!
