Hi Bob, This really is a lovely recording and well worth having in the collection. So much so that after hearing some of the Lyrita recordings, I purchased this one on CD.(SRCD.201)

Hi Nigel. This is one of the most collectible Lyrita's of all! I've seen copies for sale at £200. It had a reputation as a hifi demo disc back in the day - not that the recording was any better really than most other Lyrita records but I guess the music was "less challenging" 🤣

It's certainly a thought. I don't know of any companies re-issuing Lyrita LPs. An Analogue Productions 45rpm issue would be nice, and still cheaper than a near-mint original. LOL!

there is an obscure Chinese/HK reissue cut in Germany on DMM. Not cheap, I think the orig. 1st Nimbus pressing is the one to have.

Fantastic sound quality-as always if you post!! May I ask why not the original Lyrita recording? Didn not even know that this excerpt exists! The thrilling Irish,Scottish and Cornish Dances are absolutely worth to listen under his baton too and not to forget the overwhelming beautiful "Sarabande" Sir Malcolm performed-to date never interpreted more deeply moving! Anything but carping only a question... 🙂
