WOW!...this sound recording is unbelievable...a remaster?...and how so sad that Teddy Reinhardt had lost his life in a plane crash with some of his friends a few years ago...miss that guy so much, seen him play too, you wouldn't believe how good he was, unmatched!

This tune introduced me to Jazz just at the age of 10. Never looked back since. I still listen to this tune when I'm going on a long journey on the motorway. Amazing tune.

This came in a time when life was good. We were young, healthy and full of life and the whole world was ahead of us. Oh how I miss those days and the ultra-fantastic tunes that made the 70's and 80's what it was.

I agree with the sentiments of NO SAY below, Morning Dance has a beautiful melody. No matter what's going on in your life, Jubillee makes you feel like your having a great day, and Rasul, simply lifts my soul :-)

What a great track from the Morning Dance album, with the sound of Jay Beckenstein blowing that alto sax is mind blowing on this track, along with Rubins Bassini on congas & percussion, David Samuels on steel drum, an instrument you rarely hear in modern musc, to give it that Carribean flavour, what a brew, there you have it, one of the biggest sellers of 1979

Normally as a young man in my twenties at the time I would never have paid much notice to a record such as this but that Sax just gets you hooked, what a fantastic piece of 70's Jazz.

At Last!! heard this track this morning on Radio 2 Ken Bruce "Popmaster" quiz, identifying this song, my ears pricked up and i was immediately transported back to 1978/79 and thinking damn--haven't heard this for 39 years, when i heard it on BRMB radio either assuming i imagined it or it was a local jingle!! and since trying desperately (Thinking..) an obscure Herb Alpert track--Bloody marvellous and really really happy to hear this track again! (y) :-)

I joined a band (I play keys and trumpet) in early 90's. They asked me what song I wanted band to play. Morning Dance. We had a sax player. We did the live version of it from Access all areas. I did the vibes solo on the keys. Love this version, but the live version is even more killer! Seen them probably 30 or so times in my life. My FAVORITE jazz band!

This album reminds me when I was 10 yrs old living in NYC and my parents were having company over and we were gonna have a party with our friends over too. They would have the grill goin and the drinks flowin!! They would play cards until the AM and me and my friends would be outside playimy cops and robbers or double dutch....ahhhhh those were the days man.

This is my favorite Jazz group. We are clearly missing the brighter side of life today. This wonderful music reflects a mood of peace and tranquility and great optimism. Today we are stuck with only sorrow, and sadness. What the hell happened to the world.

Saw them live in concert in Cape Coral Florida. Back in the 70's when I bought my first high end stereo system, I was given a direct to disc vinyl recording by them. Rocked my socks off and they did it again Saturday night. Best concert in almost 30 years!

These days we'd never have heard this track as it would be pigeonholed. In 1979, certainly in the UK, it was played on mainstream radio and so was there for all to discover

I bought the 7” single record for 50 pence on a warm summer afternoon in 1979 in The Dandelion Market in Dublin City centre. It was playing on a record player at a small records stall and I was immediately taken by the sax. I still have the record. Morning Dance is on side one and side two has Jubilee and Heliopolis. Fantastic music!
Hard to believe that it's 6 years ago today March 4th, that Ted Reinhardt was lost in a small plane crash, a great, great drummer here in Buffalo, NY, had a little time with Spyro Gyra, and mostly formed with other bands as well...much missed!
