Scott builds his own basses. I met him one time when he was playin in Hoboken NJ and he let me try his bass and all. What a cool dude. And if you google it, you can find his line of basses that he makes. Like a couple year waiting list to get one though.

Did a bass boot camp masters class with Scott. He was amazing. Not only a unbelievable player but a great person to talk to. In that setting a question and answer session there is much to be learned.

Scott is a great player. His technique is flawless. His plucking, bends, accents, slapping, thumbing, just amazing. One of the best Electric Bass kats out there. I would love to see him perform with other artist in the music business. Sax man Jay beckinstien is great. Pianist Tom Schuman is great. The whole band is off the hook. Just would like to see Scott perform with some artist. Basskat Detroit MI

It's called 'digging in' (see Doug Johns) Geddy Lee's earlier sound features this technique as well. IT gives the notes some grit, some spit. It's ok, really.
