Spyro Reignited Trilogy Switch Day one Download Update! (Current Situation!)

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is going to be great on the Nintendo Switch but... there is one pretty big problem right now. In today's video Alex talks about the current mess surrouding the Day one Download and File Size for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy on the Nintendo Switch and tries to make some sense out of it!

There should be no excuse for Activision not using a 16GB card. CD Projekt has the Witcher on a 32GB card which is twice the capacity the Reignited Trilogy would require.

I WILL NOT be buying this game if all regions require a day one download for the other two games. Simply put, if I'm spending money on the "Trilogy" all three games need to be on the card, not just one.

Yeah it's not great; hopefully the download will not be as big as feared. I'd pay a little extra to have all three on the cartridge which is where they should be.

You cant play past the 1st world in the 1st game without the download. Its shit.

The Day One download on PS4 and XBO was kinda understandable considering how development was a bit rushed and the file size was bigger than a dual layered Blu Ray disc. But they literally have no excuse this time other than money. Activision's greed once again ruins a perfectly good game

To be fair the Reignited Trilogy is good value for money in my opinion. However, I'd rather pay a little more for it all on the cartridge. Physical copies of games shouldn't need big downloads to play! 🙂

The other two games are already there- the "patch" isn't even a "patch" either- it's a perfectly normal Day 1 update! Those are always free!

I have no opinion about require download the full levels of Spyro 2 and 3 in the physical disc of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy for a day 1 patch for an updated. Because I already connected the internet for my PS4 system so it require downloaded the full levels of Spyro 2 and 3 for Spyro: Reignited Trilogy on PS4, and I enjoyed it. And I am really excited for the new levels of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy as the DLC when it will be revealed soon on Gamescom 2019 before the DLC levels will be released in the PlayStation Store of the PlayStation Network by September 3rd! And especially the reveal of Spyro and Friends Grand Prix in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled during Gamescom 2019 before it'll be released by this early September after Back N. Time Grand Prix! What do you guys think? Are you excited for the DLC levels of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy and Spyro and Friends Grand Prix in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled that they are coming in this September? Mmmh 🤔 My plans regarding the game are unchanged. I will buy it at D1 (i already expanded the memory of my Switch with a 64gb Micro SD card). But ofcourse, if Activision would let us undersand what's happening this would be great ! Great video 😎👍

All the so-called "download fiasco" was is a perfectly normal Day 1 patch for bug and glitch fixes! The games are already there- all 3 of them are already on the disc and have been since the game released! Most people just misunderstood the situation, which is why I'm here to help explain it!

Yay! 😃😃😃 It's ok for me matey! ;) I got a 60 gig SD card! ;) :) Oh, oh! Hey Alex? Did you know the very first cutscene from the very first Spyro game takes place at Dark Hollow during the day?! XD I've got NO idea where the very last cutscene takes place after beating Gnasty's loot! XD And what happens if you beat that extra level but you do NOT get all the remaining gems?? 🤔🤔🤔 Does that cutscene NOT play? It's funny cuz even if you HAVE gotten everything else, the 80th dragon assumes you have NOT yet one of the dragons in the Artesans hub world KNOWS that you have or haven't already beaten one of the levels before you fight Toasty! XD And the bosses from Spyro 1 are pathetic! 😝😝😝😂😂😂

This again? They've had a year to consolidate data, if not longer. Seems to me like they're gonna require huge downloads for all future (potential) Spyro titles. A patch is a patch to me based on size. I had to download a 30+ GB update on my Xbox One. That isn't a patch, that's 2/3s of the game that should be on the disc. It's missing content. My internet is so bad that it took 2.5 days to complete. Compare that to Red Dead Redemption 2, which had a 6 GB update at most. I was able to play that in like 5 hours. Until high speed data is available everywhere, these huge day one downloads need to end. The disc data can be installed offline.

I agree with you points. If this is a bid download it's not great. For me it's just a frustration but for people who don't have good internet it's a real problem. Hopefully we're wrong with this download size but we'll find out soon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Alex

i had to download 8.2gb. for each game only the intos (first area) are on the card. the rest will be required to be downloaded. it sucked since it literally took me all day to download. it was worth it since i love the games. edit; forgot to mention, there is no download codes. it just asks you to please download the rest of the games after completing the first area of whichever game you start, for me it was game 1. so technically the games are on the card but require you to download the software to your system or sd card. weird but i didnt mind the wait if it meant playing all i want.

I can,t play spyro trilogie. I can play it for awile but wen i wanna go to another world the game tells me that i have to download the other world and then the real trouble starts. And i have a 128 gb sd card in my Nintendo Switch. I don,t understand it. I wanna cry for not be able to play spyro reignited trilogie. I,ve anyone els has the problem and has fixed it please let me know. Because i don,t know what to do next. I,ve downloaded the game tot so many times for a halve a day. Then its says my internet is too weak and i can,t get a wifi signal. Then it says to download to go to another world and then i have to download spyro all over again.

Have you got the game physically? If so, is your interenet allowing you to properly download the download that is required to play the games? Without the download installed properly I don't think it would work. If you can't get your head around it i'd suggest contacting Activision support. I hope this helps Alex

Something is wrong with your system then. All 3 games are there, so there shouldn't be any issues in that regard!it could be is maybe the bugs and glitches are too much for the Switch to handle, but I seriously doubt that, as I've heard of many people who have the Switch version who have been able to play all 3 games just fine without a download, which means that you probably have a faulty Switch!

Right now we are not 100 percent sure but it's looking like just the first one with the other 2 requiring a download. We will find out in a couple of days though.

I haven't seen any update and with the release of the Trilogy on Switch just a few days away, I feel as though we're not going to find out until then. I will cover it as soon as we know though.
