I loved how Bartholomew was redesigned. Looks so cool, looks similar to Crash Bandicoot with the shoes and I so wish for Bentley's brother to be playable in a future Spyro game.

The enchanted towers NPC does look like a Ratchet and Clank character. Basically a hipster Skidd McMarx.

I personally adore the Reignited designs for both types of Fauns and the Satyrs but the thing I really love the most about them is the Gaelic accents they all have. Really gives them a lot of character.

I love a lot of the redesigns in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. But one of the main hub redesigns I love the most is the redesigned look of Midnight Mountain from Spyro 3 Year of The Dragon.

I love Spyro trilogy & I love being a Spyro fan thanks for sharing the video miharu & Lost fleet can be a huge pain in the butt getting the skill point there is absolutely difficult

I think the OG Enchanted Towers NPCs were meant to represent the exaggerated artistic stereotypes of the 60s through 90s with the old hippie ponytail poncho look. Looks like the updated versions are more reminiscent of the hipster stereotype.

I kind of like the redesigns of the Breezebuilders myself. Also, even though he didn’t change a whole lot and I guess he’s technically not an NPC, George, the little snow leopard from Crystal Glacier is a lot more adorable in my opinion.

It's funny, the Volcanic Crater tikis are probably my favourite reimagining in the game! I love how they have these funny kiwi(?) accents now. The originals were great, but I love what they did with them here too.

I absolutley adore Bartholomew's redesign, his colours actually suit him very well. When I first saw him when playing the Reignited Trilogy back in 2018 (I think I was around 15 turning 16) I was very amazed, I also loved his old design back when I played the original YOTD back in 2013. I can see him he be a new playable character in future Spyro games because I think he can have some pretty cool abilities like explosive snowballs, wielding a club or a mallet and use his phone to track down new enemy characters. I think it's really cool how a yeti just like him can use today's technology. Also if he ends up in future Spyro games, I have a feeling he might mature a bit and age up to an older teen (I thought he started off as a funny but immature teenager when I first saw him in the game). Bartholomew is one of my favourite characters in the Spyro series, he's so cute, funny and stuborn. 💙💙💙❄❄❄

Here is hoping to have all of the Ratchet and clank games (and Sly Cooper ) on steaming someway 🎉 The remake did a wonderful work on the redesign looked (though i wished they'd keep them old voice acting) . If i had to choose number one ? It would be the female fans in Fracture Hills ! They look ever so cute ~ Here is hoping that they'll make a Spyro 4 game .

I think the reason for Elora looking so different from the ones in Fracture Hills is because she was originally supposed to be a centaur. She was made a faun in the original to lower the poly count because of technical limitations, and I'm a bit disappointed she wasn't changed back in the remake, but it also makes sense not to deviate from such a well known design

My original comment was the opposite of what you asked here because I came here from the opposite video lol. My favourite redesigns have to be the grubs from Zephyr or the Tiki men from spyro 3 or maybe just straight up Sgt bird. The grubs were done fantastically and look really squishy, the Tiki men got the accent they always should have had, and Sgt bird is just so adorable it's a perfect juxtaposition with his personality and job. Other than that I really love some of the dragons from spyro 1 like the snake-like one in icy caves who tells you to charge the gnorcs with armour on ice because they're slippery and nearly every single beast makers world dragon

I find SO much charm was lost with translating some PS1 NPCs. Some looked good like the Pandas in Bamboo Terrace, but I think the worst translation was the Skelos Badlands NPCs, they look completely different then the awesome PS1 designs

I still don't know what the purple Enchanted Towers characters are supposed to be either, but yeah, they kinda look very much like Skidd McMarx. Granted, as shown in the very first trailer for the original Ratchet & Clank, Skidd started off having a completely normal and typical 90's comedy sitcom voice, only to end up sounding like Otto from The Simpsons in the final game...

I certainly did think that Crazy Ed was a Mole in the original game, so when I replayed it and saw his big curly tail I went 'Aw look he's a Possum! Cute!' I personally don't like Zoe in Reignited since she sorta looks doll-like but the Spyro1 fairy's...yeah I like them. Can't stand Nancy the Polar bears Make-up though!

i would like the rabbit Sheriffs a lot more if it wasn't for the fact that i overthink the level they're in. Dino Mines feels like a reverse spyro 2 level, with Spyro taking the side of the creatures that are seemingly not native to the area, nor is the level named after them, you know, it always felt off and odd how you're getting rid of the Dinosaurs in Dino Mines

A little disappointed that the female fauns from fracture hills didn’t make it onto the list. Not only did they look cuter in reignited, their new voices were also an improvement over the originals( I know people find the valley girl accents of the originals to funny, but I never was a fan the accent, and greatly prefer the new Scottish accents they got).

They're on my original list! I like their Reignited designs/voices a lot, but I didn't want any repeats for this list, plus I'm still partial to the valley girl take, it's just a lot funnier and more nostalgic for me.

I also like the purple dudes, but the cafe latte is a bad design choice in my opinion. I'm still heartbroken that Juliet in Zephyr doesn't have a man's voice 😭 Her design, on the other hand, is pretty. I like how feminine and girly she looks, but her colour just looks a bit too washed out and dull imo. A bit too dark. What do you think?

4:15 I can see why you would think they look like Ratchet and Clank characters. They look like purple version of Skid McMarks, especially from 2015 designs onwards. But to me they look like hipsters, especially with the coffee and man buns, so that makes them one of the worst designs imo. Spyro's universe is a magical place, an escape from the cruel reality of life, the last thing I want to see are the gentrification colonizers ruining another thing dear to my heart.
