As impressed as I am with how carefully they recreated the game in Reignited and how pretty it is, I couldn't shake this feeling that *something* was missing... I think you're right about the PS1 "atmosphere"...

the nostalgia is strong in this thread 😅 ive played both and defo feel the atmosphere was equal if not greater in the reignited trilogy. The unreal engine just took the trilogy to another level that wasnt possible in the 90s

I loved this world and Magic Crafters. And though I love the Reignited Trilogy nothing will beat the original. They made Dream Weavers crazier in the remake

The shrink ray is possibly my favorite thing from the original game. I wish it saw more use, but then that might have cheapened the experience. Oh who am I kidding, it would've been amazing to enjoy your resizing power over the sad peons around you.

I like The Dream Weavers World in Spyro Reignited Trilogy and we need more of The Dream Weavers I would love to see Spyro gain dream powers to enter others' dreams similar to the SpongeBob Sleepy Time episode. Reignited Trilogy Spyro having Dream Powers would awesome for the newest Spyro games.

I disagree the sound effects in the remake has sound effects that seem very similar. So I don't know where you're getting this idea that the reignited version doesn't have the same sound effects because even without picking out the original sound effects as they have as an option the updated version of the sound effects sound very similar to the original sound effects. I'm not saying you're wrong that's how I perceive things when I play the ignited remake.

yeah i was playing this again today, and i always wondered what was beyond the barriers in the worlds you go to. in most games nowadays that are open world you finish the main quest and dont care to go to all the other places in game.
