You know what scared me back in 98/99, and still kinda does to this day? Those.. Plant enemies from one of the sub-worlds in Beast makers world, I forgot what they were called, but, damn, I think they're scary as hell, the ambushing, the big open mouths, the way they rush towards Spyro..

You’re not alone. As a kid it kinda freaked me out and I couldn’t stand the difficulty. Now as an adult I LOVE it. Best homeworld and music. Also love the diversity of the levels from the bogs to the treetops!

Same here. Dream Weavers is my favorite world, but when I replay the game I start appreciate Beast Makers more and more. It’s not a baaad world, it just has some annoying enemies and the color palette is a bit icky. Bit some of the scenery can be quite nice.

I always try to save that chicken. I have no idea why it runs there. LOL Also they do look headless. Their heads are so tiny! And they look like they don’t have any feathers. I literally just figured out why the chicken goes there but idk why there. So the chickens run away from you but they have spots they go and that happens to be one of the spots. Cause if you go near it again it will run back off the electric pad.

Beast Makers was definitely when the game got 'real' for me as a kid. Magic Crafters had a difficulty spike but this was way worse/scary. I would go to Misty Bog, see the first group of bush monsters and just leave, I couldn't go near them! I remember struggling to get enough dragons to get to Dream Weavers. Luckily replaying as an adult 120% this game wasn't too bad.
