EWR is my home airport. Proud to say that we are home to the current longest flight route in the world (believe we beat the JFK one by just 10 minutes). Good video, helps me see what to expect when I take this route

Flew SQ 21 and 22 in April. I would take the flight again. The meals in business were far better on SQ22. Book the cook is the way to go for meals. I actually enjoyed the burger on SQ22 better than the lobster thermador. I tried the Singapore carrot cake before landing and it was delicious.

Great video. Just wondering, what type of camera did you use to record your video? It was very high quality. The way you recorded your video is very stable, did you use any sticky mount or just by hand? And what software app did you use to edit your youtube video and is it free to use? I am currently learning on how to record and edit my travel videos. Any advice is very much appreciated.

I just did this flight about 5 weeks ago. Considering they promote the use of glass in their videos and just how special their PE is, I found SQ quite disappointing. Plastic cups and presentation was so disappointing as you can see in your video. But the crew were exceptional! Interested that your route shows you going over Russia, especially if it was only 1 moth ago. On my flight, around the time of the 2nd meal I opened the blinds to central Europe and we carried on down over Turkey, Pakistan and Northern India. It was a killer flight but I loved arriving into Singapore in time for a swim and cocktail before dinner and bed.

Indeed! They recently introduced new PE meal options and serviceware, although I'm not aware if they are still using plastic cups now. I flew this flight in 2019 before COVID-19 happened so the route might have changed to avoid Russian airspace. Hope you enjoyed your flight, notwithstanding the bad meal presentation!

DYK Thai Airways was the first in Southeast Asia to fly non-stop from Bangkok to NYC using A340 back in the early 90's.

Are you sure about that because the actual date was somewhere in 2005

@@EpicThe112 Google/Wikipedia was talking about BKK to LAX. (A340-500) The BKK to NYC only lasted less than 6 months. (A340-200/300). There was also corruption regarding the CEO of Thai Airway getting kickback form Airbus.
