The Speedster villains don't tend to hang out with other Flash Rogues. They may hire them occasionally but that is usually it. Also don't forget Boomerang spends a lot of time locked up in Belle Reve. So that means he is not able to socialize with the out of custody villains. So it makes sense he would not notice. That and Boomerang is not always shown to be the most observant person on the planet.

Getting killed in Flashpoint Paradox. Turns out Zoom used the Speed Force to physically expand his moment of dying and to crossover into the new timeline Flash created at the end of that movie, but using too much speed will kill him which is why he's working with Silver Banshee and Blockbuster.
