@@johkerx9107 I think with all that's yet to come, this is more of a tease than anything, the staff put that flashback with isshin's back to help people catch that detail easier, the manga just said uncle and it was left for the reader's interpretation, so in a way the anime was more direct!

@@nothing3887 in the actual episode, when the lady who shoots them in the giant cannon thing talks, she says to ganju something like “we had to do this even if it makes uncle sad” and then it flashes an image of them with a soul reaper who is Ichigo’s dad. Basically showing that they know him and consider him their uncle so maybe he’s part of their “Shiba” clan that was once a clan of actual soul reapers. Pretty cool hints

Zero Squad was mentioned back in Turn Back the Pendulum arc. Kirio was Urahara's predecessor as a Captain. Also, did you notice Ginjo and Tsukishima next to Ganju and Kukaku? They passed on in Fullbringer Arc and their souls went to Soul Society. Dope stuff. And yeah, Ichigo looks like Kaien Shiba, because they're related.

I lost my shit at the Isshin reveal as well, this also means he was a member of the Shiba clan which if you remember used to be one of the four noble clans of the soul society.

When the manga was coming out, a lot of "fans" went crazy when Byakuya was at death's door and there was a backlash, and it's speculated that Kubo made him live because of it. Of course, that's just speculation - nobody really knows if Kubo intended for Byakuya to actually die or if he wanted him to barely survive from the start, except for Kubo himself and maybe the editors.

Thanks for clarifying that this is all just speculation. Saw quite a few ppl stating this like it was a fact and that didn't sit well with me... I really like Byakuya, but I hope Kubo ultimately made the choice himself rather than fall to victim to some whiny kids 😔

yeah it seems like it was very overwhelming for Bleach fans at the time when they already lost so many other Soul Reapers and Byakuya was like an original fan favorite antagonist character in Bleach, and fans also probably thought he was taken out too easily without killing any bigger Steinritters it probably triggered some other fans that loved Byakuya but would've been okay if I died in a bigger way.

@@pktenku tbf Kubo also take a part to fans for making that speculation. On his later interview, he give advice to young mangaka to not let the fans influence the story they created. So with Him getting bullied in social media and that statement, the speculation is born.

It is and isn't. Soi Fon's entire character revolves around her having two very different sides, the cold merciless assassin she was trained to be and the brash teenager she was under Yoruichi's command. Yoruichi was her entire life, so when she left, she "abandoned" her past personality to become what we know of her at the start of the manga, but it is clear that she just suppresses it. Her Shikai and Bankai are a great example of that : the clean two-hit death sting and the waaaaaaay less stealthy but more personality-accurate nuke. After Yoruichi's departure, who could've been a model for her aside of Yamamoto, the one giving her orders to follow, people to kill, and a meaning to her life ? Losing him is like coming full circle, back to her own insecurities.

A detail about the broken bankai: ikkaku bankai was broken during his fight with edorad when grimmjow was introduced. Maryuri was able to patch it back , but it’s not even a fraction of what it used to be. So even if he used it, it’s nothing what it used to be

If I may it was not ikkaku's bankai that was broken it was his shikai. So that's why mauri was able to help. From what I've seen in the anime until now. It should be impossible to restore a broken bankai. :) *Hopefully kubo has something epic planned for ichigo's sword*

@@akarshvhebbar6110 That’s incorrect. It was his Bankai “Ryumon Hozukimaru” that was broken in his fight with Edrad Liones. And it was actually Akon that forced it back into its original shape but the power is nowhere near what it was

@@Step43099 I know the name of his bankai, again it was just asleep and was woken up during the course of the fight as the dragon turns red. His shikai was what was in two pieces when one of my favorite pieces of voice acting happens. I can never forget how the voice actor for ikkaku goes “bankai-ya!” It’s unlike anyone else.

@@Step43099 Again you can replay the end of the fight. I think it’s only one of the linked blades that gets disattached from the hilt. The blade never breaks but I guess you can technically still say that his bankai was broken.

Quick note, the manga mentioned ikkaku’s bankai lost some power after damaged in a previous fight and renji is still missing piece of his bankai from his battle aganist bankai, the only known exception to breaking bankai is Komamura’s due to the stand and stand-user like link of his bankai
