Squadrons 2022 What is Boost Gasping?

Ok, I’m still trying to understand how to do this. So several questions. 1. Is this different than boost skipping? 2. If so, How? 3. If I’m playing on a regular console controller, what button mapping do you recommend to be able to pull this off ? 4. In the video, you are pulling all power into and out of engines, but in the audio you say into and out of shields…

1. Yes. 2. Skipping is quickly chaining together boost drifts while charging another system. Gasping is a the same boost/drift but you hold the drift longer. 3. Boost/drift on lt or lb. Dpad is fine for engines/lasers/shields. Use basic power management. It’s the same thing except your drifts are slightly shorter. 4. It’s essentially the same thing, Ive got power in engines and hitting boost/drift at the same time as I hit lasers then shields. Then back into lasers then engines and repeat.

I appreciate this guide, but damn I wish this wasn't a thing in the game. It looks and sounds lame, and detracts from the experience.

i don't know. the game wasn't better when everyone just flew around and died all the time. in fact, it sucked so much that a million people quit playing in the first 2 weeks.

@@TimebombTips did that really happen? I thought this game had a good player base for the first 90 days or so, then it dropped off after the last dlc

@@ryanh.739 it was okay, but essentially DOA. it had 1 million digital sales. but the most concurrent ever was launch night and dropped off a cliff after.
